@JohnSunCricket Been a dreadful Test. The commercial implications on the best format could be profound - beyond just this Test. Who is going to risk buying a ticket for Day 3 onwards of a Test? Will commercial rates have to be revised down? Loss of catering revenue, etc.

Shocker of a pitch, poor batting, little patience or resilience, match over in 142 overs. Can't believe anyone thinks this is what Test cricket should be like.

@mobydick2010 In any Test one team is going to win (barring weather or an equally poor pitch where bowlers can’t get wickets), and I’m certainly not blaming the result on the pitch - we didn’t deserve to win. But I am in favour of pitches where the contest between bat & ball is more even.

Question :- Are we prepared to see a technically correct batsman like Michael Artherton bat for 2 days or an unconventional one in Travis Head ? What is the objective of test match cricket ? Entertainment/ result orientation or technically correct gentleman's game of yore ?
