He realized very quickly that even with better pay, the culture expected presenteeism over performance. CEO: That is unfortunate. HR: Yes. We offered him double the salary, but also gave him a preview of a workplace where leaving on time becomes a character issue. CEO: So what are you saying? HR: If employees are judged for having boundaries, then no amount of money will make them stay. A higher salary can attract people. But if respect for time is missing, it will not keep them.

I'm against people losing their jobs to AI. The workforce should not be replaced. But the fact that engineers, customer service, graphic designers, writers etc are losing their jobs at a faster rate than a MLB Umpire working mediocritly side by side with AI is crazy.

@TorresGotay Unos políticos van a la guerra para distraer sus problemas reales que afectan la ciudadanía. Otros hablan de legalizar four tracks para desviar la atención a los problemas reales que apremian a sus ciudadanos. Gracias a Dios que no tiene ejercito.

Es vital para el futuro de la sociedad puertorriqueña invertir tiempo y recursos en esta causa, seguro que sí.

@TorresGotay En la dependencia federal y la narcoeconomia y otras ilivitas. Si mañana se elimina la economía informal en PR, muchos centros comerciales y negocios alrededor de toda la isla cierran al otro día ya que representa casi $25,000 a la economía local.

Esto ha sido la realidad económica de Puerto Rico siempre. El que no lo haya visto, no vive aquí o es ciego o no le conviene verlo.
