Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Bachelor's Degree in Video Game Design and Storytelling from Francisco de Vitoria University to the GameBCN offices at the Palo Alto Foundation. Together with @SandCastlesSt, we explored the current state of the games industry, sharing insights, practical advice and best practices with the next generation of talent. And closing our GameBCN11 team announcements is Sereno by Midnight Loop! 🌙 A narrative adventure set in 1940s post-war Madrid, where players alternate between a night watchman marked by war and a young postman, both connected by a murder that ties together their pasts. As the story unfolds, Sereno weaves mystery, memory, and two intertwined lives into a gripping journey through a city full of shadows.

Only two more teams left to reveal, and next up is Hound Riders by Morganic Games! 🎯 A tactical roguelite where every bullet counts, blending turn-based combat, resource management and non-linear map exploration. Step into the boots of a hound rider in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where witchcraft, dust and rust go hand in hand, and survival depends on the choices you make with every shot.

The fourth team joining the GameBCN11 lineup is Train of Thought by @LittleLanternGS! 🚂 A heartfelt adventure where you take control of an adorable toy train and help charming characters by accepting requests, carrying them in your wagons and overcoming obstacles along the way. With clever puzzle-solving and a world full of warmth, Train of Thought invites players on a journey packed with charm and meaningful encounters.

Continuing the GameBCN11 team reveals, let's welcome @kholinecho by Insert Disk! 🚀 A space action roguelike where you must find a way to stop the Oblivion wave, a force capable of destroying the universe, space and time itself. Take off in your ship, explore procedurally generated planets, battle enemies and gather energy to upgrade your weapons and abilities as you uncover the secrets of an ancient civilization.

Next up in the GameBCN11 lineup is The Well’s Blessing by BIG STRETCH! 🌿 Explore the mystical sanctuary of the Old Well and reconnect with childhood friends as you solve environmental puzzles. Meet peculiar animals, uncover forgotten stories, and lose yourself in an interactive soundscape while rebuilding your place in the world.

Kicking off the GameBCN11 team reveals, we’re excited to introduce Hyperarousal by Aion Interactive! ✨ 🏔️ A psychological horror experience set in the mountains of Val Camonica, where dreams and reality constantly blur. Through exploration and ancestral visions, players uncover a fragmented past shaped by trauma, myth, and memory. In Hyperarousal, every sensation is a clue, and facing fear is the only way forward.

A new #GameBCN edition is officially underway! 🎮🔥 Yesterday at our HQ, we celebrated the GameBCN 11 Opening Event with the 6 selected teams, promoters (@culturadigicat, @bcn_ajuntament), supporting parnters (@socialpoint), mentoring partners and members of the local games ecosystem. After welcome remarks from Simón Lee, Joan Francesc Bañó, Jordi Badia, Guillem Arlandez and Jessica Bermejo, we unveiled the teams’ trailers and closed the evening with networking, drinks and game demos.✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a special kickoff! 🫶 We’ll be unveiling the incubated teams next week, so stay tuned!👀
