I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

¿Puede alguien hablar con Carlos Alcaraz y decirle que, con 23 años, ya es un hombre y no un chico? Me estoy empezando a preocupar por su actitud y declaraciones.
Dios le ha dado un don; está destinado a ser el mejor de todos los tiempos y en lugar de aprovecharlo y trabajar todos los días para cumplir con dicho objetivo (que él mismo ha dicho que anhela), se la pasa quejándose de que la vida del tenis es muy dura y que necesita vivir como alguien normal.
Si quieres vivir como una persona ordinaria, deja el deporte definitivamente y mañana mismo sales a conseguir trabajo como asalariado, que la gente común y corriente no se la pasa de fiesta en fiesta; también te olvidas de los millones, de los campos de golf y de viajar por el mundo.
Mi crítica es constructiva pues yo considero que este jugador tiene el potencial de ser algo HISTÓRICO e IRREPETIBLE; me duele pensar que no se da cuenta.

Miren la vida que llevaron los 3 del Big 3. Vidas dedicadas al 99,9% al tenis. ¿Él querrá eso? No lo sé. Siempre defendí el “A su manera”, porque era su vía de escape para no quemarse de esto. Mi mayor miedo con Alcaraz es que se agobie o se aburra de lo que supone una carrera que oposita a ser el mejor de la historia. Miren lo que le pasó a Borg, que con 26 años dejó el tenis por desgaste mental. Este deporte te exprime al máximo y hay que estar muy fresco de mente y disfrutar del proceso. Si no… malo. Ojalá que no se le acabe el hambre y encuentre en la rivalidad con Sinner -y otras que surjan- la motivación para dar su máximo muchos años más.
