An Afghan asylum seeker who snatched a 12-year-old girl from a park in Nuneaton has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after he repeatedly raped her and filmed the ordeal.
Ahmad Mulakhil, a 23-year-old Afghan national who arrived in the UK by small boat just months earlier, targeted the innocent 12-year-old girl while she played on swings in a park last July 2025.
He lured her away, dragged her to a secluded cul-de-sac, and subjected her to a horrifying sexual attack, repeatedly raping the child, sexually assaulting her, and callously filming the abuse on video while she suffered unimaginable trauma.
The victim endured extreme physical and psychological harm, with reports describing the offences as "extremely horrific."
Despite the monstrous nature of the crimes against a vulnerable child, the asylum seeker received only 15 years in prison. The case previously triggered local protests in Nuneaton after UK authorities initially downplayed his migrant status.

@DaleJohnsonBBC Ok just disband the kmi at this point. Totally bloody pointless.
English

Newcastle should have been awarded a penalty in their 1-0 win at Chelsea, but it did not reach the threshold for a VAR intervention.
The KMI Panel voted 4:1 for a penalty on the pitch for Reece James' hold on Malick Thiaw, but 5:0 it was not for VAR.

English

@DaleJohnsonBBC A penalty is absolutely the right thing for VAR to intervene on. and 100% said it was a penalty so that definitely makes it clear and obvious. Stupid VAR.
English

The Premier League's Key Match Incidents (KMI) Panel has ruled there was no VAR error on Kai Havertz's penalty claim for Arsenal v Everton.
However, it unanimously voted that the spot-kick for Michael Keane's foul should have been awarded on-field.

@MrJamesMay @decorativeartt I agree to a point but if a political party took something from you and your family you'd probably be angry first and foremost at the people defending it, and your reaction probably wouldn't be measured or sound like a politician.
English

@decorativeartt You can criticise Meaden’s politics without insulting her personally. Then you wouldn’t sound so churlish and embittered, or like someone who has never felt love.

Good evening, Deborah Meaden.
How very revealing. You, the dried-up, multi-millionaire Dragons’ Den old hag, now lecture the British public that Ed Davey and the Lib Dems are the “Grown Ups back in the room” because you just creamed yourself over a clip of Davey attacking North Sea Oil and praising Starmer. The sheer, brain-rotted delusion of a rich, out-of-touch pensioner calling the party that can’t define what a woman is “grown-up politics” is actually fucking hilarious.
One does so admire a bitter old bag who sits in her ivory tower of wealth, completely removed from the real Britain she loves to lecture, sneering at anyone who dares say the bleeding obvious: a woman is an adult human female no penis, no debate, no matter how much you and your deranged Lib Dem friends wish otherwise. Yet here you are, an actual biological woman, desperately defending the party that has turned basic biology into a “divisive” issue while cheering child mutilation, open borders and the deliberate freezing of British families. How very civilised, you pathetic, virtue-signalling fossil.
The video you’re drooling over shows Davey parroting the same net-zero insanity that is bankrupting the country, while the man himself helped cover up the Post Office scandal that ruined countless lives. And you call this “grown-up”? You’re not wise, Deborah, you’re a smug, senile, out-of-touch old crone who has spent years playing the billionaire dragon on TV while your beloved Lib Dems help turn Britain into a biological and cultural lunatic asylum.
The British public sees you clearly now, Deborah Meaden, a contemptible, shrivelled, brain-dead old cunt, a dried-up, irrelevant, millionaire fossil so far removed from reality that you still desperately simper and drool over the Lib Dems like a sad, decaying pensioner trying to stay relevant. Feel that deep, crushing, soul-destroying shame burning through your hollow core. Feel how utterly pathetic, ridiculous and embarrassing you look at your age still defending the party of child mutilators, groomers and open border zealots while Britain is destroyed. Wear that humiliation and failure like the expensive clothes hanging off your withered old body as the nation you claim to care about is fucked into oblivion around you.
Britain First. No Surrender. 🦁🇬🇧

Deborah Meaden 🇺🇦@DeborahMeaden
The Grown Ups are back in the room… good work @EdwardJDavey and @LibDems for picking up on the things you differ on, recognise when you do agree and respectfully focus on issues that are real not just raised to be divisive. How I wish we saw more of this…
English

@MarieTidball @Nigel_Farage @reformparty_uk You're being daft and you know it. Farage walked out because starmer refused to answer key questions.
English

I’m absolutely livid.
@Nigel_Farage and his @reformparty_uk MPs just walked out during my question to the PM about keeping snooker in Sheffield and getting a tram-train extension to Stocksbridge.
Farage and Reform don’t care about constituencies or communities like mine.

@SkySportsPL 3 keepy uppies is NOT showing boating. Any school kid can do that. It's just taking the piss and is blatant disrespect. And this after he feigned injury to get Hincapie booked. Dont worry, we've kept the receipts.
English

@AndrewAFC89 The reasons why Arsenal have done so well this season are the same reasons why we wont win a whole load of trophies and its all linked with Arteta's low risk tactics. You could get a manager in that will play higher risk /prettier football, and lose more games.
English

This did cross my mind last night. Will be so grateful if he wins the league. But, this team isn't built for multiple seasons. I fear next season is going to be like Liverpool's one now. Or worse. Still questions over this team even as potential champions. Let's see how we finish
DR Sports@drsportsmedia
Should Arsenal part ways with Mikel Arteta even if they win the Premier League? 😳
English

@RohanJivanAFC His lack of action from 45 mins onwards was absolutely shocking and worrying. Not unusual for top managers to be stubborn though.
English

Only rewatched 25 minutes of the game back and there’s a lot to unpack, outside of the Cieth 4-2-4 block.
Think I’ll post a long read next week at some point as there are some serious reflection points, especially with Etihad soon to come.
I’d go as far as saying it was a really poor game from Mikel.
English

I actually really like City but if an Arsenal player did this… imagine the uproar 😂

Get the boy a statue NOW! 🤣🤣🤣

What yesterday showed was that, without Odegaard in particular, technical level not high enough at Arsenal. (Missing Odegaard, Eze and Merino for the same position proved to be a bridge too far too). History tells us Arteta sees issues and, if anything, over corrects in the market. Strongly suspect technique on the ball in small spaces will be a very big priority in the summer.
English

@David_Dein_FC The MLS and norgaard avoidance cast major doubts on artetas ability to manage the squad.
English

If I’m MLS, I’m asking serious questions. He’s the solution to our horseshoe build-up. He doesn't hide for the ball, a better receiver than Zubimendi, more press-resistant with clever half-turns, good upper body strength, and a stronger ball carrier with good vision.
He was clearly ahead of O’Reily development-wise, now he barely gets mins.

Lewis-Skelly at 6 alongside Rice in a double pivot could take our build-up from defence to attack up a level.

@TheArsenalbiker I've said it before if Arsenal don't win any trophies this season then serious questions have to be asked about Arteta. This was our best shot. Next season is going to be much harder.

@Gravitygunner14 Hincapie was over a foot away from making contact with nunes. He cheated.
