I started working at 12 years old. Up at 5am delivering newspapers 7 days a week. I did Carl Bridgwaters paper round because no one would. I've never claimed benefits. My pension age has been pushed back to 67. I've worked for 50 years so far, don't you dare take away my blood pension.

The National Living Wage is right now, £12.21 per hour. In a 35 hour week you will earn £427.35 so in a year it’s £22,222 Presumably they call it a living wage because that gives you enough to live on. A pensioner gets £10,000 less than that. Greedy blighters.

The over 60's own the all the houses. So why is this? You get a 20 year mortgage in your early 30s. You move twice more, each time you take out a new mortgage. When you finally pay off the mortgage and own your home you are in your 60s. That's how mortgages work!

@simonwatt85 But does not need a car to get back and forth to work which equates to £200 a week,so £10400 a year, lives without mortgage or rent so £9600 a year, dosent move about much so hardly eats saving £2600 a year on food, all of a sudden, a pensioner is better off by around £250 a week
