@_TOYPAJ_@Pete_Martuneac No double digit catches and only one 100 yard game with a dozen dropped passes. But yeah keep believing how “awesome” he looked
With DJ Moore gone, the Chicago Bears’ WR1 mantle is up for grabs, and Luther Burden, not Rome Odunze, is going to be the guy who claims it. Here’s why 👇
@LatrellCurtis10@Jake_B30 Aight man you can die on the Rome hill… he just simply is not nearly as good as he should be at this point in his career and he’s gonna miss out on tons of money if he doesn’t greatly improve.
@garlic_warrior@Jake_B30 Please go back and watch
Rome is an elite route runner that’s why he’s always open
Using scheme to discredit Rome but not anybody else is sad
@PDyerJ@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico I do know how to evaluate qbs I’m just giving an unbiased opinion unlike you. And that’s horrible logic so in that case Drake maye is better than Lamar and Allen?
@garlic_warrior@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico Dak is an indoor merchant who can’t win in the playoffs
You don’t know how to evaluate QBs and that’s ok
Burrow has been to 2 AFC championships(same as Josh, 1 more than Lamar) and a Super Bowl (neither have) in 3 healthy seasons
@Bear_wit_Me_ You’re talking bout for 4 weeks when the season just started. Extremely small sample size. He would not have been a TD leader if he played every game
@LatrellCurtis10@Jake_B30 Yes more than half the time Rome is open it is because of rub routes or scheme that beats the defense. It’s not because he’s an elite talented route runner or nothing. Go back and watch the games you’ll see. Ur litterally thinking about one clip vs the lions when we were down 31
@PDyerJ@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico I would take pat, Lamar, Allen, (maybe stafford) over burrow rn. Hes right there on fringe top 5. Dak and burrow are similar as far as qb play
@garlic_warrior@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico Your QB is Caleb? Burrow went 5-3 last season, his team went 1-8 without him. He sat or was out over 5 quarters of this sample size, and still cooked your QB
He played 6 of these games with a plate in his cleat
Burrow is QB1
@PDyerJ@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico Never said Caleb was better yet but I will for SURE take him in any clutch situation which is a very important qb trait. And also, it ain’t my problem that burrow gets hurt every year it seems like it’s becoming a theme for him and it’s gonna be an excuse every year for him now.
@PDyerJ@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico He lost the clutch moment vs Allen and got shutout vs Baltimore. Burrow is still good idk why people are just so quick to solidify him as top 3. And also injuries are a huge problem for him
@garlic_warrior@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico He still outplayed Allen in that game what do you mean? He had 4 TD passes, Josh had 2 INTs dropped , he won on thanksgiving against Balt, the last game he had 3 tds dropped
@NFL_Convo@JoeOrrico You get the best QB arguably in the NFL with Jettas vs Dak Prescott.. yes clearly.
You should have put Lamar after the year he had last season
Closer to Daks tier, it would have been more interesting
@LatrellCurtis10@Jake_B30 Sometimes fans just need to be realistic. U must know Rome personally to defend a professional top 10 pick of why he has been underwhelming. This is not college anymore. U might be basing his skillset off his college tape still against pac 12 teams.
@Jake_B30@garlic_warrior Again watching football is much more necessary
Rome gets way tougher passes thrown to him
In crowds
Impossible catches
Out of bounds
Etc
Caleb shows you who the #1 is
Yall fans love highlights
Rome being open so much so that when healthy he was top 10 in yards, tds
@LatrellCurtis10@Jake_B30 Top 10 in what? His catch rate has been horrid for 2 years when he gets targeted. He gets open when Ben schemes him open. He is just simply not elite or even close to it. I want him to be but at this point I would bet against it because he hasn’t shown prove of it at all.
@garlic_warrior@Jake_B30 And he was top 10 in everything for 9 WEEKS
Acting as if I’m referencing a 2 game sample when I’m referencing a 2 month sample is CRAZY
quick and twitchy is the reason yall thought Justin was good
He gets OPEN, MORE THAN ANYBODY ON THE TEAM
That’s why he gets the ball
@LatrellCurtis10@Jake_B30 Before injury is such a hypothetical statement. He was not going to have 1200 yards. He still didn’t have good hands before the injury, he’s not very quick or twitchy. Also when Rome was drafted top 10 everyone expected him to be dominant and he’s been an average wr.
@garlic_warrior@Jake_B30 Right 1200 13+ yards pace is below expectations (before injury)
700+ yards as a rookie 3rd option is below expectation
Y’all be playing stupid
In the SAME role ROME had a better rookie season then Luther
