@WestHam_Central Fucks sake. Every time we get decent young players, we turn shit and sell them. Every single time. The only young player we've kept is Nobes because he had the worst haircut in football. For once, can we behave like a fucking professional football club and keep a decent player!

Seeing as the world are seemingly after Mateus, if we stay up, how much do you think we can realistically demand for him if several clubs enter a bidding war?

Jack has excelled both academically and on the pitch throughout his two years at the academy. He leaves us with outstanding grades and has developed into a strong goalkeeper, putting him in a great position for the next stage of his journey — university and non-league football

Official West Ham Club Statement: Baroness Karren Brady, Vice-Chair of West Ham United, has today announced her decision to step down from her role at the Club. Reflecting on her tenure, Baroness Brady said: “It has been a privilege to work alongside the Board, management, players, staff and supporters at West Ham United. Together we have achieved remarkable milestones, but the highlight for me will always be lifting the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy - a moment that will stay with me forever. I am deeply grateful for the relationships, challenges and opportunities that have shaped my time at the Club.” In her 16 years as Vice-Chair, Baroness Brady led the negotiations to secure the Club’s move to the London Stadium, overseeing and driving the process that delivered the transition to a 62,500-capacity stadium. Under her leadership, West Ham United built a season ticket base of more than 50,000 supporters and now regularly records attendances among the highest in world football, reinforcing the Club’s standing both globally and within the Premier League. Looking ahead, Baroness Brady will continue to focus on her broader business interests, including non-executive roles, contributions in the House of Lords, mentoring, and leadership initiatives, as well as continuing her longstanding role on television series The Apprentice. She added: “While this chapter closes, my passion for football and commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders remains undiminished. I wish West Ham United every success for the future and look forward to following their continued achievements with pride.” Joint-Chair Daniel Křetínský said: “I want to thank Karren most sincerely for our collaboration since 2021 and for all the work she has done in the past for the Club. Her contribution to West Ham United’s growth, such as the long-term contract for the London Stadium, shareholders transition and the British record transfer of Declan Rice, has been absolutely essential and not always fully appreciated. Karren is also very highly appreciated in the Premier League leadership community and was an excellent representative of our Club there. I wish her the best of luck in all future activities.” Joint-Chair David Sullivan said: “Karren has been an exceptional leader and a key figure in the Club’s development over the years. We wish her every success in her future endeavours and thank her for her outstanding contribution over the past 16 years.”

@Ofwat South East Water is a private company. Fining them £22M means that us, the consumers, will see our bills increase to pay for it. 🤬 @Ofwat needs to be more creative with how it forces responsibility/improvements. I don't want to pay more to cover the inadequacies of @sewateruk

@kumbdotcom 90 minutes ticked over whilst Tata went down. We made 2 subs. Game restarted at 92+ minutes. Add the 6 and you're basically there. For a relatively new EPL ref, he did OK. VAR helped him and let him down too.

Although it was ultimately irrelevant (blood pressure excepted), I'd be extremely interested to hear an explanation from referee Matt Donohue as to why the "minimum of six extra minutes" turned in nine minutes and 22 seconds at the end of the match. That PL tech playing up again?

@Keir_Starmer Dear Mr Starmer. If I charge you £100 for a box of candles, and the next time you buy a box of candles they're £200, you'd complain. Now, if j slash £50 off a box of candles, is the price of candles higher or lower than before? Now. Think about it.

“Rumours that West Ham Vice Chairman Karren Brady is leaving her role in the next few weeks reached fever pitch yesterday on West Ham WhatsApp groups and private messages. The Baroness is scheduled to meet the Fan Advisory Board on Thursday 26 February and financial accounts for last season are scheduled to released the following day Friday 27 Feb one day before the companies house deadline. There is a wall of silence from the club to either confirm or deny the rumours including Brady herself who was approached for clarification. Time will tell whether the Baroness is stepping down after 16 years in the Vice Chairman role” 🗣️ Sean @westhamfootball

@Keir_Starmer Keir Please provide a simple illustration of how today's GDP figures means more money back in our pockets? My water bill has risen 100% in the past two years. It's not the only bill rising. It's not the pockets of working people which are filling, it's the pockets of the rich.

Job number one is easing the cost of living pressure that many people still feel. Today’s GDP figures show our economy is growing. That means more money back in your pocket. I know there’s more to do, but we are heading in the right direction.

@WestHamPlace Two photos from recent televised games. One from a WSL fixture: Fours hosts, all women. One from a Premier League fixture: three hosts, two women, one man. Seems that she has a point, there is a bias. But not in the direction she's pointing...

Dwight McNeil’s partner has had her say about Crystal Palace after her boyfriends move collapsed yesterday: “Tonight, and the last 48 hours, have broken my heart to see how the football world you love so much can be so cruel to you. To have something promised to you, to have been dragged along on an emotional rollercoaster, and to be toyed with until the final minute. To have 4 and a half years of your life promised to you, traveling, medicals, agreements made... promises made. To have prepared to move your entire life, our life’s 100s of miles away in the space of a few hours. For it to be torn away from you at the last second, with absolutely no explanation. Going from everything - to radio silence, no phone call, no communication and be left, broken hearted with nothing but confusion, has hurt more than I can say. I sit with you, knowing in my heart and deep down into my soul that you will bounce back from this. I am your biggest supporter. I know you will overcome this with a fire in your belly and a motivation that no one can stop. I have already seen it tonight, even whilst you’re facing the lowest point of your career. We live in a world where everyone is aware how big of a problem mental health is, so in football, why do we find it acceptable because these young men are on a lot of money, that it’s okay to mess and toy with their mental health and that’s it just ‘part of the job’! No matter of money, we all deserve to be treated with respect, kindness and fairly. So I really question the industry tonight. I only hope there’s more done in the future to protect people from situations like what I’ve witnessed tonight. Football is brutal and yes, it’s the nature of the beast, but messing with human beings feelings and emotions shouldn’t be acceptable. People only see one side on the media, you don’t see the tears, the emotion and the distress I’ve seen tonight.” This doesn’t look great on Crystal Palace... 🫣
