Not a single English journalist asked Tuchel about his thing with Jude at the press conference today. I found it strange, so I asked them. They said: ✅️ If the team qualify to the final, it is also to the benefit of the media, so there is no need to play it any further. ✅️ Team England had informally asked the media to let sleeping dogs lie so that they could focus on the bigger task As someone who saw how Ghanaians treated journalists covering the Black Stars at this World Cup, this was very instructive:

About 12-15 questions so far and nobody asks any Tuchel vs Bellingham. Knowing the English media, this is very odd and uncharacteristic, after such a public 'beef'. Got a feeling if anybody asks, press officer Andy Walker will shoot it down.

@garyalsmith lol nobody expects the black stars to win the tournament, be realistic chief. Their performance was just poor. We didn’t enjoy the game, and I know you didn’t enjoy it also. And the stories from the team’s camp was also pretty annoying.

Same way nobody gave yhe Black Stars a chance of even winning one game, they go and reach the Round of 32, and we are behaving like they should have won the whole World Cup. Zero perspective.

🚨 A concern here: England pre-match presser to be delayed by up to 45 minutes because they landed late into Atlanta. That could take the Argentina presser (originally scheduled to start in 45 minutes) back by almost an hour+. If you check, going back to about the last 17 major football tournaments (Euros, WC, Copa, AFCON), the team that wins the first semi — and hence gets a day's rest — usually wins the final. England and Argentina will not be happy with these delays.
