@wcools I'm actually seeing if I can patch things together using Playwright. I've managed to get it connected to thymer-cli on my ubuntu server. Not sure how stable it'll be but it might do the job until you guys work on thymerlib!

@garymc Great! Yep mobile is definitely something which is important to almost everyone. We're doing this in phases, first make it workable as PWA, then native apps later. But high on the importance list for sure ;). For your server, any chromium running there, or planning on cli only?

Local AI agents really feel like a turning point. That's awesome but tbh I'm just as excited about the terminal/CLI aesthetic comeback they're causing 🤩

@wcools 1. Mobile - I have a shared Notion workspace with my wife. She uses her phone 99% of the time. Thymer's not ready on mobile yet. 2. An api/mcp for allowing an agent on a headless server to read/write. Looking forward to Thymer pub Once these are in place I'll ditch Notion!

@wcools Been playing with thymercli and it's great. I've managed to replicate a fairly complicated, yet fragile workflow I had built in Notion. My Thymer version is rock solid and bloat free. But there are two things preventing me from actually moving to Thymer for now...

@wcools Thanks for the clarification. This looks great regardless. I'll definitely use it to help me build niche plugins for my workflow. And in future, when thymerlib is released, I envisage having a modest, local LLM running on a home server to do some continual house keeping.

@wcools Looking forward to building some plugins using this. By the way am I correct in saying that this needs to run alongside a GUI browser? Or is there a way to have this run on a headless server?

For the Thymer alpha testers: the MCP announced last week is now available, see thymer.com/mcp for more. It's a small companion app that talks to your Thymer (web) app and provides AI agent access (MCP), as well as a command-line interface for terminal access.

@wcools Will you be sending out another batch of invites anytime soon? I'm keen to test. Been following your progress closely since the summer.

Got so many kind messages and useful feedback/bug reports in first 24h already. So awesome, thanks everyone! We'd love to invite a lot more people soon, just keeping it fairly small for the first alpha so we can try to keep up. I'm signing off for the holidays but can't wait to keep improving things!
