To all those in the UK and Australia arguing that we should not increase drilling and utilise more of our oil, gas and coal resources, please remember: 1). True it will not directly reduce oil prices as it is priced internationally. 2). It will create jobs and investment in otherwise poor areas. 3). It will reduce our risks to petroleum product supply issues. We should refine our own resources and imported crude. 4). It will make it easier to build up our domestic reserves. 5). It can reduce prices at the pumps if the government chooses to reduce the tax by using some of the increased revenue it would get. Not exactly rocket science!!!
