@gatekeepchicago How did you arrive to the conclusion of 3yrs for a permit approval?
Last check is was about 14 weeks for a single family home. The drawings go thru several bldg departments including CFD.
If you hire a self certified architect and an expediter that time can be reduced.

Even if we started building more housing today, it would take 3+ years to get permit approvals. It sucks but Chicago’s housing crisis will continue to get worse in the near future
