@burnthelilacs why r u speculating in bad faith abt why we make different medical decisions for Our bodies than You do and whys ur conclusion tht it must imply that were not truly as trans as *you* r? u ppl r incapable of making valuable observations, ur brains r poisoned by internet discourse.
English

i suppose the better question is 'why are the reasons given for it very rarely a consideration for trans women getting SRS or orchiectomy'
Aisling@burnthelilacs
Mostly unrelated but this is why the 'trans guys getting hysto but leaving one ovary in case they lose access to T' thing confuses me. Like are you guys just fine with estrogen? Wuh?

@Coleidoscopes i think its funny to talk about narcissism when your entire argument is that U dont experience it to as debilitating a degree as these ppl say they do which can only mean THEY r all selfishly lying abt their experiences. how is that not a conclusion based solely in narcissism lol

@DymeArachnyd feel like the answer is prob to avoid socmed as much as possible if u start to feel overwhelmed by the amt of eyes on you + only get exposure to fan related stuff by using ppl ur close to as a filter, so ur shown/told only the things that ur loved ones know will bring value to u

@Westers_Peasant you ppl always need to speak but since yall are drones you have nothing to actually say, always responding w the most generic substanceless bullshit ever along the lines of "you have to conform, theres something wrong w you for not conforming". its like im reading the color beige

@nananyquil im asian and trans and my take is that its okay if u are legitimately trying to integrate into the culture itself but its weird if its a white western/european person taking their name from a culture that they have absolutely no connection to outside of orientalist fetishism
English

sorry im just black so idk but the whole its weird to have a name outside of your culture thing just doesn't make a lot of sense to me
i feel like it reinforces stereotypes that east asian things are mystical and special and cant be used because they're special and sacred

@horrorvisuals "truly alien beings" WOULD have animalian features or may even potentially be humanoid. the conditions that make planets inhabitable would lead to the evolution of animals and ecosystems like ours. the closest idea we have for what actual alien life looks like are the dinosaurs.
English

Every once in a while I'm fascinated with the fact that no matter how much we try, we seem to be incapable of designing truly alien beings.
In most media they carry either typical Lovecraftian qualities, animal like features, or they're humanoid shaped.
