@funghibull @chonksxyz That's super cool. They've got hella followers too. Love projects like this that expand the usecase of NFTs.
Congrats for landing them bro!
English

@gaus_eth @chonksxyz Just highly customizable with interop for different virtual spaces and subsequent releases programmed to allow your avatar to evolve or “change clothes” with in-house or collab-based skin/wearable releases
English

Ya.. Personally I'm still of the opinion that the best option is for LPs to just be able to profit from airdrop in the tokenized floor they are LPing (or even ETH), and let market do its thing
E.g. if people expect PENGU drop to be worth $100k per pudgy, then ppl looking to cycle will likely pay $90k/nft to be first to cycle a pool (or a single NFT from the pool). The LP, who is in it for the profit anyway, gets a massive windfall the day of the airdrop.
A lot of these LPs may be crypto whales that only check their wallets every month or so. Chances are they'll be happier with massive profits in ETH or tokenized floor anyway, than keeping up with airdrop news and claiming 30+ days later when price may have dropped.
Ppl that are in it for the NFTs and airdrops probably not the type to be longterm LPs in the first place. Just my own two cents though
English

@gaus_eth @CryptoGarga Allow owner of NFT contract to lock the pool or something for a limited window
Mainnet gas for that loop is kinda painful
English

I've wondered before if there is a good halfway mark between NFTs and pure tokens that can persist the important qualities of both
Maintain the ability for a distinct set of traits to vary in value relative to the floor
Allow you to sell small fractional amounts
Let's say that every BAYC is baseline worth 10k of floor token T
Then the actual value of that NFT should be worth:
10k T + Value of its AttributeSet (~0 if floor, very high if e.g. gold)
When you accumulate at least 10k T, you can claim one of the entries in the AttributeSet Set that isn't currently assigned. This process could have various rules or auctions.
You can freely sell your attribute set, which would leave you with 10k T but not assigned to a specific PFP.
If you go under 10k T, force an auction on your AttributeSet
English

@0xWave @CryptoGarga Yes, 100% the best way is for NFT teams to just support LPs 😆
AIs would be dope, but would still be a race with high gas if airdropped isn't announced in advanced. If it is announced wouldn't be so bad.. AI would just pull liquidity, claim, and LP again
English

@funghibull @chonksxyz Chonks look dope! Thanks bro
Can you tl;dr why/how playerzero addresses this?
English

Recommend checking out @chonksxyz
Really interesting approach to customization and traits
Agree though that there’s a lot to be done here. Would love to see some big collaborations too, way too much happening in a silo of one asset group
Part of the reason why I’m stoked to be working with @weareplayerzero, think that besides some majors (eg. Punks, BAYC) that feel historical now, dynamic expression is gonna be fundamental to value accrual for PFP and avatar sets and just necessary to bake in or support when making stuff for things that evolve like people and culture
English

So, long story short I'm not part of core Flayer team (stepped back and just advisor/big-investor now)
I always had designs for how to monetize airdrop harvesting but they were pretty complex and team was not fully onboard. I sincerely hope flayer team is thinking about this and looking to integrate such designs (especially since Flayer will be launching on base)
It's a complex problem once u get into it. My solutions were:
1) dynamic LP fees that shoot up quickly during periods of very high cycling demand
2) ability for harvesters to bid ahead of a time for a block range to get first right to cycling
Imo, almost impossible to allow LPs to collect airdrops themselves but very possible to monetize so that LPs get most of the financial benefits from an airdrop
English

I hope you guys are also solving for internalizing protocol revenue for airdrops
Still see NFTX get harvested by one sniper for things like PENGU drop
I feel like you need to be able to incentivize liquidity in the pool with yield and that pretty much has to be from trading fees on the floor tokens (since fees for trait swapping and such likely won't add up that much unless it's giga-expensive)
English

@0xWave @CryptoGarga The main thing is that for any of this to work there has to be a pretty liquid floor NFT pool. NFTX always struggled to get that for BAYC
English

@0xWave @CryptoGarga This is actually similar to how NFTX v3 works (now being recreated as Flayer). Sell into floor pool but there is an auction period where a premium price can be attained. Just needs to be a second level protocol for using those floor tokens to build attribute-specific stuff
English

@gaus_eth it's an interesting challenge though -- is an NFT floor healthier with a ton of high listings or just fewer listings overall?
