@hugo_bereal @Dave_Hughes I agree to a certain extent, but the difference is we would give them the North stand and then we’d fill the West stand with home fans so it’s full. They are giving us 1500 tickets in a stand that could hold more and they can’t put home fans in there.

genrally banging an opinion
@gavgray @Dave_Hughes ‘They just don’t want more away fans than home’ - that’s exactly the point. But makes complete sense. We’d be doing the exact same thing. We don’t like it…but it’s the right decision in terms of their football club #ycfc.

Shame there isn’t a system in place for those who go to most/all away games to be able to have priority for Rochdale tickets. It is massively unfair imo that some who go everywhere may miss out for some season ticket holders to go to their one away game of the season. #ycfc

@rafc_olly @Dave_Hughes Our advantage isn’t us having additional fans in the stand, our advantage is our players on the pitch 😜😬

Still seeing people saying this shot was “definitely” over the line. For me it’s definitely not. Thoughts? #ycfc

Comfortable afternoon. The sun made it feel almost pre-season friendly. Hopefully Kitching’s injury isn’t the one negative from the afternoon. #ycfc

@Lancsiron @gmpolice Whereas when we went to Scunny a few weeks ago the local police there were great, engaging with the fans, wishing everyone a great game etc. Even the stewards on the way out congratulated us and wished us a good rest of the night. So much does hinge on how people engage with fans

@gavgray @gmpolice aren't the best... When we went they were over kill with their policing... A Tuesday night, horses, fans escorted from buses, lines of police having said that our tool of a"football" liaison officer doesn't help in his bid to remain employed...

Surely Manchester local police would prefer a full stand inside the ground where they can keep an eye on everyone rather than only 1500 in the ground and 100’s & 100’s of others hanging around outside the ground or in town for hours? #ycfc

@Mikeyt_78991 @Darth_Moomin What you on about? 😅 He thinks it could be over in their favour by then, I think it could be over in our favour by then. 2 fans giving their opinions on what they hope for. But yes, please do save your money for the playoff semi. Don’t worry about final though 😉😊

@Declan_Burleigh @Darth_Moomin 100%. I thought they would have fallen away by now but haven’t. We’ve scored 100 goals so far, some games not had to get out of 2nd/3rd gear, 24 games undefeated run, and yet they are still above us, so as I said, if they finish above us then well played them, they deserve it

@gavgray @Darth_Moomin Just saying if you’re going on about the season you’ve had, yet Rochdale are above you doesn’t that tell you the kind of season they’ve had?

@TommyRAFC Not acting like that at all…but my point is valid. If there is so much being decided on the game i’m sure they would prefer all York fans inside the ground rather than outside the ground. Better safety for everyone and it saves Police resource and cost. Posh muppets 😅

@Darth_Moomin We’ll see. I think we’ll be 3 point ahead by the time of the last game and our goal difference will mean it’s basically 4 points so won the week before but technically not officially, but we’ll see. If you finish above us after the season we’ve had then fair play to you.

@gavgray I think most Dale fans want you inside the ground, filling the stand and making a great atmosphere, especially if we've won it by then and none of you turn up 😉

@AlexFYorkCity I think only one actually belonged to me and I had to borrow the others for events needing a tie 😅, but yes, nothing like a 90’s tie 😃

Never refreshed my timeline so much in my life before! So glad they only had 4 mins additional mins and not the 10+ mins we usually get (😅) as my phone battery would have died 😅 #ycfc

@TrevorAvery10 @iowecityYCFC I used to think it was an acoustics issue that until I went to a Knights game and sitting in the East stand near the North corner the whole of the East were engaged and you could loudly hear the away end in the south stand…

@iowecityYCFC It’s a combination of things. I sat only once in the East Stand next to the away end and you can’t hear the South Stand at all. Weird acoustics. Also sat on Saturday with a lot of new fans and families in West Stand and they are new to it. Boreham Wood also popped a balloon!

York Fans, can we sort the atmosphere out??? Every game matters, get behind the lads get the stadium rocking like it’s a title winning game! Past few home games it’s been quiet chants falling flat and not getting behind people tryna get a chant going. Get stadium rocking! #ycfc

@JimibCalverley Games under the lights are always much better. Fireworks though only goes off when players are coming out so that plus the music adds to the atmosphere. Pre-match music getting people going. The whole of the East Stand loudly engaged all throughout the match.

@gavgray And I swear I’ll keep singing about Ben Brooke. Spotted the Knights, night games are different and always generate an atmosphere. How did the fans react to the fireworks? I always find them an odd addition in a smaller stadium.

Was that the worst atmosphere at the LNER for a York game? Do we really rely entirely on the drum to sing? #ycfc

@IOS1922 I literally had this conversation with someone at lunch time today (although not the bit about knitting... ) It was a night game though vs a day game so hard to compare the two as we’re usually louder evening games, but pregame music etc is more engaging…

City should be looking at the Knights to improve this atmosphere. Knights come out and it's class, gets people right up for the game. Fireworks, flames, smoke machines in club colours. City walk out and it's like cheeky clap and carry on knitting.
