Went 3-1 then drew into t8. Scooped to my friend who I beat in the finals earlier this season. The deck was very fun obviously not a fully competitive build but the shell (VOV elspeth siege) felt nice into a controlling local meta. 1 mana/game object from taking an extra turn. 😢

Heading to a local rcq today, but I’m fully qualified. Goal is to do some science, maybe take an extra turn, and scoop in a friend if I somehow start winning with this pile. Jeskai blink guide work continues when I get home.

THREAD Had an amazing weekend in spotlight richmond with a deck that I created. I feel very lucky to meet a ton of genuinely amazing people this weekend, including having the one and only casting duo of @HAUMPH pilot my deck the night before the event vs @CoreyBaumeister.

Got 21st in #SpotlightTMNT with Jeskai Blink look forward to a guide and a retrospective on the past 2 events Richmond and Milwaukee as this honestly been the best 2 weeks of my life and the first thing you should know about is I love a 2 for 1. @fireshoes for value

@Corey_Burkhart @lotuslore02 A very funny moment occurred when I looked at my phone for pairings and saw @MTGMilan, who I was loaning cards to. As I knew what deck he was on and he did not know mine i offered to play open and so we did. Unfortunately his draws were not particularly functional.

@Corey_Burkhart @lotuslore02 who defeated me R5 and then proceeded to also defeat everyone else on day1 wote a great retrospective on his tournament experience in Milwaukee, if you haven’t you should as it gives great insight into the potentially best build of the best deck. (Other than my deck)

Was very excited to have my first ever feature match this weekend in R12 where I truly showcased the power of my deck. If you want to see what this deck is capable of look no further than that match. Definitely not 2 rounds further 🫣.

I got 2nd at RC Milwaukee by copying @mrchecklistcard, and @zompatanfo, homework. list was a masterpiece. was bittersweet having to team kill a fellow @TPillowFortMTG Member in the semifinals. Will seems like a great guy and player so that made loosing in the finals sting less

11-3-1 for 17th at RC Milwaukee to requalify for the pro tour!!! Came into the event with 0 expectations and 0 prep after going 3-0 into 3-5 at PT Richmond, guess I gotta lock in now. So happy :)

I would probably not register turtle going forward. It had some good moments but overall felt unnecessary. Archdruids charm was a card I added last minute after being low on it but it performed well. Surrak was an MVP and I want more pawpatch formations in the future.

Got 20th place in Milwaukee for my first ever pt qual playing the best deck. Made errors that kept me from doing even better but overall very happy to have done this well and glad to have met so many amazing people through the game that I love. Matchups+thoughts below.@fireshoes
