@dan_routledge This will be my forth iteration (although Heat went from Guildford to Surrey for a season), however I’m a Bracknell boy so grew up on Happy Eater Pirates, Bracknell and then TV Tigers in between the first few on your list and then Heat

Random thought on a Saturday morning. Guildford must have hosted more franchises/brands than any other city? Pirates, Team Talbot, Kings, Heat, United, Scorchers and now Niners. Any Surrey followers seen them all? Manchester must be close but so many different teams called Giants

Launching this was the start of my biggest passion project. Although thousands would have been positively impacted by what this club has done - inspiring people to get involved; bringing people and families together to support a team - this doesn't make it any less sad 😢

Out of the Ashes of Scorchers comes the Niners! Its not the first time a team from Surrey has had to dust itself off and go again and with these guys at the helm i have every faith that blood, sweat and tears will be spilled to make this work. #goniners #surreyniners

@ItsEggActually @GLADCAST_BBALL @BelowThePod The rivalry thing is so important and works so well in football with a lot of the Boxing Day games being local derbys. Surrey always play New Year’s Day against Lions (Royals one year) and it’s a great atmosphere with home and away fans able to attend

@GLADCAST_BBALL @BelowThePod As funny as the rant was, we'd be the same if it was the other way round. Should have made the games over the Christmas period a "rivalry week" being as most teams rivals are a couples of hours away and it would have cut down on the travel for the players, staff and fans etc etc

I know I ranted about schedules on @BelowThePod a few weeks ago. It's now the week of the longest travel match up in the league on the 23rd. Not only a ridiculous date but add in the more ridiculous time of an 8pm tip. Hopefully someone can explain the rational? As I don't get it

@Britpopmemories This was my first ‘proper’ big gig I’d ever been too and I just remember falling in love with the whole idea of bands, concerts and just being part of a musical collective. What a day!

What's your personal Britpop high point? Could be a song, an album, a gig/festival or even meeting a Britpop star. Mine is Paul Weller's Finsbury Park "mini festival" in 1996. An amazing line up, on a sunny day with my mates. That really does feel like the peak now I look back.

@CoachMacleod @BBLDaily Not too dissimilar to Netball. The 11 Superleague teams have a u21, 19, 17 and 15 programmes that play in leagues or tournaments but the players are also able to play club netball outside this - it creates a “elite programme” of competitive matches
