You people should not forget the fact that a state governor has no authority to issue orders to police officers or soldiers. For instance, troops can block a governor’s convoy, and the governor has no power to command them to move aside. In fact, a governor doesn’t even control his own security detail, they can simply walk away from him, and there’s nothing he can do about it. Ultimately, all real power rests with the president.

Oyo Schoolchildren K+dnap: I can not do anything about insecurity until I am elected the president in 2027 – Gov. Makinde Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has lamented his inability to fully tackle the growing wave of k+dnappings and abd¥ctions in the state, saying governors lack constitutional control over security agencies despite being referred to as Chief Security Officers. Speaking in Ibadan on Saturday while accepting the presidential nomination of the African People’s Movement (APM), Makinde said the continued captivity of abducted schoolchildren and residents in Oyo remains p@inful. “Today, innocent schoolchildren and citizens abd¥cted by criminals remain in captivity in Oyo State,” he said. “As Governor of Oyo State, I carry the burden of being called the Chief Security Officer of the state, yet lacking constitutional control over the security agencies required to fully address these thr£at.” Makinde argued that governors should not be blamed for insecurity when they do not control the agencies responsible for tackling it. “No governor should bear responsibility without having the authority necessary to act,” he stated. The governor promised to reform Nigeria’s security structure if elected president, insisting that states must have greater powers to respond to security thr£ats. “As President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, by the grace of God, I will work to reform our national security architecture so that states are no longer left helpless in moments of crisis,” he said. He added that decentralisation would be a major part of his security agenda. “The decentralisation necessary for more effective security management will be prioritised. The safety and security of Nigerians will never be treated as a political slogan,” Makinde declared. According to him, Nigerians are demanding leadership that delivers real results. “We cannot continue recycling the same approaches while expecting different outcomes. A new direction must emerge, one founded on competence, courage, accountability and compassion,” Makinde added.

Why is it that people with little to no money are always the most generous when it comes to helping those in need?

This man is the worst president Nigeria has ever had. Nonchalant is an understatement. Imagine the effrontery to even think you deserve a second term.

E no go better for you. you won’t die well. I place a curse on you today, your end will be terrible and horrible. You think a festival, no matter how long it was planned is worth more than one little child under the rain and sun and the blazing guns of kidnappers? Pooja or whatever your name is, YOU WILL DIE WITH TEARS.

Pick a number, but don't choose one that has already been picked. If two people select the same number, both entries will be disqualified. I'll be back if Arsenal wins the Champions League to select the winning number(s) and give out a gift. Good luck 🤞🏿

At an early age, almost everyone believes they’re special. That’s why kids think they can become anything. But life slowly beats that belief out of most people. By their teens and early twenties, many start lowering their ambitions. In Nigeria, it shows up when someone dreams of Medicine, misses one JAMB cutoff, then settles for Microbiology. By 35, years of disappointment, survival, rejection, and all that have convinced most people to stop believing they’re meant for anything extraordinary. This is the ''Let's be realistic'' stage or the ''make we just dey manage'' stage. Only a tiny percentage never fully let go of that belief. And it is usually that small percentage that goes on to create magic. No matter what you do, make sure you are one of the small percentage - because life gets harder when you let go of your faith.

I voted for Peter Obi in the last election after they counted the total votes casted in my ward and Obi won, I went back home. I regretted that action, never again So this election, after casting my vote and counting it in my ward, I will be following the inec returning officer to AMAC and making sure Obi wins there too, make sure Peter Obi is declared the winner before driving back home this time around. If the mandate is stolen again, this time around, we will start protesting from there straight to the National Assembly.
