The NTE devs did not lie about the use of GenAI. They openly said in an interview prior to launch that it was used but not for core game assets (just like Kuro and Hoyo) which remains true. The things that are allegedly Ai, as of this moment, are misc elements and billboards.

@GamingWithNep @mamipoo_ There currently is no way to verify if an account is tied to Xplayer, unless you yourself choose to broadcast it in-game. SE knows and has policies against spoof account punishments for this very reason. So if OP isn’t lampshading; Legally this action isn’t allowed in JP or US

@orightnoname @mamipoo_ Generally never. But you if you display a link to your socials in game, like in advplate. Then if you post anything illicit, or threatening harm, they will screen for that. A huge issue happened last year when ppl linked their onlyfans to their chara descriptions.

Like nude mods/or just anything p***graphic. If a minor clicks your link and see boobs it’s gameover for ffxiv

@BoredDerek @MischiefsYT For video games maybe. But the fact of the matter is AI has caused a huge spike in unemployment in the US alone, where families can only get warehouse positions and customer service in any reasonable capacity now. Job outlooks for anything fullfilling is quickly dying out.

@animetrends The big issue here that people are missing is that company lied, and continues to. Whether or not a game uses ai, doesn’t matter so long as they are HONEST. But also the excuse that a game needs to rely on ai is wild. We’ve been making AAA games for decades w/o it.
