This is where I grew up. A trusting town where they just leave a town ball on town court.

GDYBL is preparing to return to action this fall. With the long layoff, many of the board members have had their kids age out. We will need an influx of volunteers from the next generation to keep the program going. Please message with interest or reach out on the GDYBL site

I’m excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Dickinson College. I couldn’t get where I am today without the support of my family, all my past coaches and teammates. I couldn’t be more excited about what the future has in store! #GoRedDevils

Tired of hearing middle schoolers who play aau complaining about how they don’t get anything out of aau practice and mostly run plays... These kids need to improve their skills, ability to move without the ball, play defense and actually HOOP!!!

@SKEisenklam Thanks,Sarah. Those travel highlights came in handy along with the awesome photos! What impressed was the newspapers he saved. I remember sifting through them when I stated to get a sense of the towns. Every story personally mattered to him. Hope you and the family are well.

Ken always put local athletes in the spotlight, and he prefered to remain in the shadows of his notepad. It was a treat to run into him at games. He was always smiling and humble. Just a genuine good guy. The Nashoba Valley lost a great writer and an even better person.
Nick Mallard@n_mallard

Ken Blanchette put countless hours and unmatched effort into covering high school sports. The former Nashoba Publishing sports editor passed away Aug. 5 at the age of 70. lowellsun.com/blanchette-put…
