@gdpmlbfan @fox4kc It’s a laundry list of ~100 things that can go wrong in a severe weather forecast. I expected weak low level energy, but not sinking upper air & nonexistent mid level wind shear… so that compounded the negative ingredients. Only takes a few to upset a severe prone environment

@gdpmlbfan @fox4kc Correct we are on the cool side of the warm front today... the question is how far north that front gets by the time storms fire along it come 4pm. It likely is closer to 50 Hwy so a higher storm risk for Miami/Cass/Johnson MO counties but can't rule it out for the rest of Metro

A Level 2 severe risk includes the Kansas City region for Wednesday evening/overnight. ⛈️ The primary threats are local flooding w 2-4” of rain & damaging winds. But isolated hail this evening or a weak brief tornado overnight cannot be ruled out. @fox4kc #KCwx #MOwx #KSwx

💰KS Sports Betting Update: - Amendment was added onto a bill that would put a 2% tax on ALL Wagers in Kansas. (Rep. Awerkamp) Told this caught people off guard as no public hearing or public input was allowed.

@tallen1984 The bill that the amendment is attached to has not made it to the floor yet. So it's not passed yet, but feels like it's headed that way. Doesn't hurt to try to talk to your reps.
