@BRICSinfo When the dust settled Iran will still be perched above the Strait of Hormuz and the regime will still be in power. Nobody has been able to define what Winning would look like bit this sure look looks like Losing.
The fear of Trump is the beginning of operational adjustment.
Just after Trump's threat of Tuesday 8 PM.
It is now reported that traffic has increased significantly across the Strait of Hormuz. At least, about 15 ships have been reported to have passed through the Strait today.
Is Iran already folding?
@Cernovich Once we leave Iran with our tail between our legs, how do you think the American people will feel about us rushing off to defend Taiwan from China?
It’s been one spectacular military success after another. The strategic aim is up for debate, but how can anyone claim the 🇺🇸 looks weak to China? Completely absurd.
I believe the US president has never felt better or had more fun. The overwhelming pleasure of holding the world as an economic hostage - bringing the center of all attention on him — while commanding the most powerful military in world history —while running a spectacularly profitable deal room from the White House can’t be beat for pure dopamine!!
@AriFleischer@hughhewitt Michael Corleone in the Godfather said never let other people know what you're thinking. That's where Trump got this from, a fictitious gangster.
If you want to understand Trump’s on-again, off-again tweets about what he’s going to do to Iran, remember what he said in 2015. I get it’s easy to criticize Trump. But it’s more important to understand him:
In a 2015 radio interview with @hughhewitt , Trump repeatedly emphasized that U.S. leaders (and he himself as a potential leader) should avoid being too predictable in foreign policy and military matters, as this telegraphs intentions to adversaries and weakens negotiating or strategic positions.
When pressed on specific foreign policy scenarios (e.g., responses involving China or Middle East groups), Trump declined to detail plans, arguing that unpredictability was a strength:
“I wouldn’t want to tell you, because frankly, they have to, you know, somebody wrote a very good story about me recently, and they said there’s a certain unpredictability about Trump that’s great, and it’s what made him a lot of money and a lot of success. You don’t want to put, and you don’t want to let people know what you’re going to do with respect to certain things that happen. You don’t want the other side to know.”
He also told the WP:
“I don’t want them to know what I’m thinking, does that make sense? I want people to be guessing ... I don’t want people to figure it out. I don’t want people to know what my plan is. I have plans. I have plans! But I don’t want to do it.”
If American & Iranian leadership are credible - Tuesday will be huge! The US will obliterate Iranian power and transportation infrastructure and Iran will obliterate GCC water supply for 50 million people and energy production for the world in the Gulf. When it’s all done I wonder if everyone involved will be more interested in being friends, lose any interest in nukes or terrorizing others?
@presti71@BriannaWu It's difficult to believe but Trump won't the election because he was going to bring down the price of eggs. All the people who switched to him have a lot to answer for.
@BriannaWu I agree, but Trump is in office, because the majority of reasonable, not living on social media people recognized the absolute Trainwreck Harris/Walz would have been. Everything that's come out since Election night has only reinforced this!
On a flight back after 8 days in San Francisco.
I’ve been back every year since 2021.
City was buzzing this year. Bars and restaurants packed. People walking the streets. Delores Park body to body yesterday.
SF is definitely back!
