Observe who’s still performing at a high level after the age of 50. You’ll notice they have one thing in common: Discipline. In general, they: —Eat clean —Drink little or no alcohol —Go to bed early, get up early —Treat their body like a temple There’s a saying in rock climbing: “Nothing tastes as good as sending feels.” That’s the thing most people miss about discipline. It’s not self-denial. It’s not missing out on anything. It’s understanding that good choices feel better *today*… and a LOT better tomorrow. There are many types of fun—and some are in conflict with each other, so you have to choose. At 55, I’ve simply lost interest in the type of fun that makes life worse.

@KrisAnnapurna Absolutely amazing I was so bummed when I was listening to the daily news from Everest Live and how he was abandoned with no immediate response. Hope he recovers as well possible from the injuries and experience.
