🇳🇬 NIGERIA HAS THE HIGHEST INFLATION RATE IN WEST AFRICA — 2026. 1 🇳🇬Nigeria — 15.06% 2 🇸🇱Sierra Leone — 8.05% 3 🇬🇲Gambia — 6.28% 4 🇬🇳Guinea — 4.4% 5 🇬🇭Ghana — 3.2% 6 🇱🇷Liberia — 3.1% 7 🇧🇫Burkina Faso — 0.8% 8 🇸🇳Senegal — 0.8% 9 🇨🇻Cape Verde — 0.6% 10 🇲🇱Mali — 0.6% Nigeria stands clearly as an outlier in West Africa’s inflation landscape. At 15.06%, it is not just the highest, it is almost double the next country (Sierra Leone at 8.05%). #Statisense (Trading Economies)

We want Nigeria to do well so that they won’t come running to a small country like Ghana. Every day I wake up, I pray for Nigeria to get their act together - Ghanaian President John Mahama.

@thecableng @thecableng and whoever wrote this piece are just lazy. The opposition (ADC) keeps throwing blame at the ruling party not themselves. Don't you have sound lawyers to tell you that you can't just hijack an already existing party structure without following democratic process?

OLUSOLA ADEGBITE: "Those who are wise cannot help but notice the pattern. First, it was the Labour Party (LP), then the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and now the ADC; each experiencing mysterious tremors at politically convenient moments. While the insurgency-like energy of one Julius Abure ensured that the LP was crippled, never to walk again, for over three years, a one-man bandit operating from the seat of power made life difficult for the PDP, making sure he didn’t back off until the party was sent to an early grave. The ADC appears to be the latest patient on the operating table of political surgery, an operation conducted, all in a do-or-die towards 2027." thecable.ng/tinubu-adc-and…

“One of the pilots who flew me said I gave him a scholarship to learn how to fly. A Reverend Father who preached here also said he benefited from my scholarship, even though I have never met him before. I want a country where people can attain certain positions without knowing anyone. I once met a man working at a restaurant in Abuja who said he was a first-class graduate, how can someone with such qualifications be in that position? Any contractor who can come forward with evidence that they received a contract under my government and that I asked for a percentage from the money of the contract, I will quit politics.” — Mr. Peter Obi

🇳🇬 EXPOSED - NIDCOM Boss Abike Dabiri-Erewa’s Vulgar Social Media Meltdowns Undermine Nigeria’s Global Image, Fuel Diaspora Profiling The Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, is under growing criticism from Nigerians for repeated use of insulting and unprofessional language on social media, with concerns that the conduct is damaging Nigeria’s international reputation. Her posts in April 2026 have drawn particular attention. In one instance, she wrote “Obingo 😩 Obi diot 🤣🤣🤣,” widely seen as a jab at supporters of Peter Obi. In other exchanges, she referred to Nigerians as “professional hackers,” “warped minds,” and used terms such as “Didinrin,” “Dodoyo,” and “mugu.” This is not an isolated pattern. In June 2024, she described journalist Samuel Ogundipe as “useless,” “miserable,” and “pathetic,” reinforcing concerns raised by Nigerians about her approach to public communication. Nigerians say the role of the NIDCOM chairman requires disciplined and measured engagement, especially when representing citizens abroad. Public communication from that office carries international visibility and reflects directly on the country. Many Nigerians in the diaspora already face scrutiny in different countries, and there are concerns that statements from a senior official that appear hostile or dismissive could reinforce negative perceptions and weaken Nigeria’s image. The issue remains clear. Public officials at this level are expected to communicate with restraint and professionalism, and Nigerians say repeated departures from that standard continue to raise serious questions about the country’s global standing.

@Kukawa_ U contradict yourself entirely in your long statement of nonsense. If the VP cannot use his office to ensure the protection of his people from a weekly mass attack and death, then he is so useless to them. Absolve him from it as much as you want, thats your tantrum to do.

Your response says more about your emotions than it does about the issue. Threats and insults don’t strengthen your argument they weaken it. No one is defending insecurity, and no reasonable person is comfortable with lives being lost. But blaming one individual like VP Kashim Shettima for a complex, long-standing security crisis is simply not accurate. If you’re serious about the situation in Borno or anywhere in Nigeria, then speak with facts, not fear and anger. Real solutions come from understanding how security systems work and demanding accountability at all levels, not targeting one person just to vent frustration. Wishing harm on others or saying “your turn will come” only shows a lack of empathy and depth. At that point, it stops being about concern for victims and starts looking like pure hostility.
Lagee🇳🇬🇳🇬@geela22

@Kukawa_ Ohh You really wrote this litany of rubbish excuses why Borno people will keep dying every week from insecurity. You bunch defending these obvious failures for crumbs are so nauseating and far worse. But keep it up others died the other day ,who knows when it will be your turn
