RSP has strong support among young and first-time voters. However, in the initial phase of campaigning, Ganesh Karki’s campaign style was not well received. Although the competition is tough, NC’s Sunil Kumar Sharma appears likely to win this election.

RSP candidate Ganesh Karki, seen as an important central leader of RSP, is benefiting from the alternative political wave. There is intense competition between NC’s well-connected leader, known for his so-called free medical services for voters, and RSP’s national wave.

My ground reading for Morang-3! This constituency is particularly interesting this time. Earlier, it was considered an easy win for NC’s Sunil Kumar Sharma, a medical businessman and an emerging influential leader in NC. However, RSP has now emerged as a strong competitor.

Although the competition appears tough, especially with fragmented indigenous votes, Harka Sampang may emerge as the winner in the current scenario.

CPN-UML’s candidate Tikaram Limbu is a strong contender, but he may be affected by the current anti-UML sentiment. RSP’s Goma Tamang, who lost the previous election by a narrow margin, is also expected to receive a sizable number of votes.

My ground zero take on Sunsari-1: This constituency is in national focus as the constituency of Harka Sampang, Chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party. Harka Sampang is popular across party lines due to his enthusiasm for the development of Dharan during his tenure as mayor.
