After more than a decade of love, healing & resistance, 4FRONT is reaching the conclusion of this chapter. This decision has been made with deep reflection & care. In the months ahead, we’ll come to an intentional close - honouring our impact and the relationships we’ve built.

I wrote this years ago. So I’ll spare you all another piece about the Nakba— marked by Palestinians on May 15. We’ve said it all before. It’s a matter of if anyone is actually absorbing the reality we’re echoing in words and breath. mondoweiss.net/2023/05/the-na…

Death of the Youngest Volunteer of the El Fasher Emergency Room and Camps Due to Shelling by the UAE-Backed Rapid Support Militia The El Fasher Emergency Room and Camps has mourned the loss of its youngest volunteer, Mohamed Mokhtar Ismail, who died on Tuesday from injuries sustained by shrapnel from an artillery shell fired by the UAE-backed Rapid Support Militia during their shelling of residential neighborhoods in El Fasher last Monday. At just 14 years old, Mohamed was among the youngest to join the volunteer effort. He began his journey in humanitarian service at the Tawila Displacement Center, volunteering in the southern Timbasi and Ibn Sina schools, before becoming part of the Emergency Room in Riyadh neighborhood, south of El Fasher. His final act of service was participating in the distribution of food baskets to displaced families last Saturday, covering several shelters. He also contributed to preparing communal meals for those fleeing the war, and joined his friend “Ramzi” in leading a handwashing awareness initiative encouraging hygiene before meals. The two boys were killed together in the same attack. Mohamed was the son of Mr. Mokhtar Ismail Hamed, head of the El Fasher Emergency Room and Camps. #Sudan #UAEKillsSudanesePeople #RSFisTerroristOrganization
