@merchant47 @ClarkeMicah @gemmamitchell92 Note: over [400] UK healthcare workers have called for a review of Lucy Letby’s case. They claim Letby’s “unsafe” conviction has triggered a “climate of fear” in the NHS & that they have been “gagged” & prevented from speaking out on behalf of Letby by their Trusts.

Stuart Tuckwood, national nursing officer @unisontheunion, @UNISONOurNHS, described the findings as 'truly shocking'. He added: 'No one should be attacked at work, especially not when trying to treat people and save lives.'

CALL FOR INTERVIEWEES! If you are a nurse and have been working over winter, and wish to share your experiences with Nursing Times, please get in touch. Curious to hear about everything driving, or being caused by, winter pressures: flu, corridor care, staff shortages, etc.
Nursing Times@NursingTimes

We want to interview nurses about experiences working during this winter. Is it busier than previous years? What's driving a reported increase in corridor care? etc. This is for an article to go in the next Nursing Times magazine. DM, reply or email us if you're interested!

Writing an article for Nursing Times in the coming month on assisted dying, and I would like to get a good spread of opinion. If you are a nurse and would like to have a say on the prospect of assisted dying being legalised, please get in touch. DMs or edd.church@emap.com

@arisonsned @cfs_jo @MEAssociation @CarolanneWilso4 @maxwele2 Yes this aligns with what I was told and what I've tried to reflect in that info box - that stress alone isn't the cause but that symptoms may start to appear after a period of stress, as evidenced by Jo's and other people's experiences. Sorry if it's not clear!

@cfs_jo @arisonsned @MEAssociation @CarolanneWilso4 @maxwele2 Yes I don't think so either! Rather that the stressful event may trigger the post-viral response, but like you say there's still seems to be a lot of uncertainty around the exact cause. Hopefully more funding can be gained for research to improve understanding
