The angle also leaves more room for passing vehicles and lets the blade tip tuck in safely along cliffs, adapting smoothly to steep grades and tight curves. This is a scene from the blade transport for the Black Peak 150 MW Wind Power Project in Serbia.

Why are wind turbine blades transported at an angle instead of lying flat? The tilt is intentional—it reduces width for tight turns, lowers the center of gravity to prevent rollovers, and distributes weight evenly to avoid damaging the specially-engineered composite material.
