In terms of profile, Harry Kane would be perfect for Barcelona. Honestly, I would take him over Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez and Victor Osimhen. However, the moment I found out how much he earns at Bayern (around 25m€ gross and up to 31m€ including bonuses), I knew it was never happening. Yamal and Raphinha are reportedly on around 16.7m€ gross. There’s no way Barcelona can start handing out those kinds of salaries again while the club has spent the last few years trying to fix the wage structure. The moment Kane gets that kind of money, even with a pay cut, players like Yamal, Raphinha, Pedri and others would have every right to demand salary increases too. That’s exactly how Barcelona ended up in the dark Bartomeu era financially. It’s simply not happening. Barcelona realistically can’t sign players like Kane, Haaland or Osimhen because of their massive salaries, unless those players suddenly accept 50% pay cuts, which is never happening lol
