As you know, recent shifts around InfoFi and social APIs have affected the wider Web3 space, including us.
We had partner discussions, lineups, and plans built around the InfoFi layer, and this has created a real setback. It’s a blocker and not something we’re brushing aside.
That said, Genome was never built around passive social metrics or surface-level engagement.
At its core, Genome is about action.
Verified participation. Real execution. Users who show up, complete loops, and stay.
As attention-based models continue to break down, it becomes clearer what actually holds up over time and what makes the most sense: ActionFi.
ActionFi is about rewarding what users do, not what they appear to do.
That principle has always been embedded in Genome’s design. The focus was always on action, building a real layer for onchain and social proof, and driving genuine attention and revenue to applications.
What’s changing is not the direction, but the placement, moving this layer from an add-on into the core product itself.
Splice exists to validate real actions and understand commitment over time, ensuring participation carries weight and outcomes reflect genuine contribution.
Genome continues to evolve as a system where actions compound, participation has consequence, and long-term contributors are the ones who benefit.
Stay tuned for more updates. 🧬
