Well, what a bird!! The stunning male Bluethroat at Swineham GPs did what every good bird should - sat and posed about 10ft in front of the assembled crowd!! Fantastic stuff, especially when it perched atop a bush and began singing....🤪
@birdboyads If it is still in the same location it is quite a narrow path but room for 3 or 4 to get views. Just need to swap with others from time to time so everyone gets a view - just depends on the numbers in the end.
The Hawfinches haven't had a great year so far in my local woods in north Cardiff, but this morning I got lucky with a male that posed very nicely!

Fantastic morning on the Blorenge: not only 4 pairs of Northern Wheatears but also a pair of Ring Ouzels!! First time ever that I've seen a pair of them (though quite distant).

@geoff_pring I'm waiting for them to appear here. We had 2 adults and 2 juveniles around for a few months so we got some great views. We have a Kayak so we had best views from the lake itself.
Made the very short trip to see the Black-crowned Night Heron this afternoon. Distant initially on the opposite bank of the Avon but then hit lucky when it flew across and provided close views for a short time. A first for me so a real bonus to see it on patch.
Playing catch up on processing but made the trip down to Kent last week to photograph the Large Tortoiseshell butterfly - a first for me. Warm weather, great company and the Large Tortoiseshells put on a wonderful show in the afternoon sunshine for the assembled enthusiasts.
