@HMRCcustomers I have been emergency taxed 😡 how do I delete my NHS employment? I don’t work for them anymore.

@georgtay If you have the PAYE reference, payroll ID, employers name and exact start date, you can call the helpline to update your record. We cannot update this until you have started. Explain to the adviser that you cannot afford to be overtaxed. Sofia

@HMRCcustomers How do I change this? I am no longer working any hours for the NHS and haven’t been for the past two months. I will be starting my new permanent role (outside of the NHS) on the 13th of July.

@georgtay It's possible when your new employer details come through. It may appear as a secondary employment. That's if we hold your NHS bank job as a main employment. Suchona

@HMRCcustomers Hi, I’m not being paid from the 0 hour contract with the NHS as I am not working there anymore but they haven’t sent out my p45.

@georgtay Hi Georgia,this all depends on when/if you are due to be paid by both both roles and when. You may be emergency taxed if there are any 'overlapping' pay periods, this is to try and prevent any underpayments of tax. Tom
