It’s because every year they claim they’ve “fixed the delay issues” just to sell the next copy. This is the #1 problem with the game. AI defending is #2. They either can’t fix the delay, or it’s a mechanic purposely used for their own gain.

@rysurysu @MattHDGamer It irks me when players complain about the worst players getting the best rewards. What does that even mean? lol. If you’re that good, you have champs, elite rivals, EA even created completionist objectives for the better players to get the best rewards. Nonsensical imo

Right now, everything is wrong. Starting with the gameplay — it was fun and enjoyable at release. But as always, career mode players complained about too many goals and defending being too hard. Then the first patch drops, and we’re back to the usual: CPU defending + slow, delayed gameplay. Patch after patch, it just kept getting worse. That freshness the game had at launch never came back. The new game modes were good. Every week there was solid content and good rewards, until it turned into a “Play to…” system where even the worst players can get the best rewards. Champs and Rivals rewards have always been pretty bad. Just improving them a bit and adding a monthly reward would get people excited. The power curve concept was actually really fun this year. It’s simple — lower the drop rate of top-tier cards and increase the chances of mid and low-tier ones. Everyone would be happy packing decent players, but this year it was way too hard. And of course, Evolutions — a fun concept turned into a complete mess. Evos were supposed to make your favorite player meta and usable. Instead, now a random Norwegian midfielder with every PlayStyle is the best card in the game — it just makes no sense, and I won’t even get into it. Put it all together and you’ve got a complete mess. It’s a shame, because focusing everything on casual players has already been proven to be a mistake.

Looking at this FIFA. What has gone wrong for EA? I see more and more people stop playing every day, is it the power curve? Is it the gameplay? Too many promo’s? What do you make of FC 26 this year?
