This is crazy!!! I just moved into this estate two days ago.. Today a woman came to my flat to tell me about their "recognition fee" According to her, once a new tenant moves in, he or she is expected to pay the sum of ₦250,000 as "tenant recognition fee" The ₦250,000 will be used to buy drinks and gifts to officially welcome the tenant. Neither the agent or landlord told me this when I paid my rent.. So after paying the sum of ₦1,700,000 as rent fee, I will still have to pay hungry tenant another ₦250,000 I reported it to the agent and he said it's none of his business "they have rules, follow it" The self acclaimed estate vise president said I will be disassociated if I don't pay it.. Please what will you do if you are the one cause this is crazy!!..?? Is that how you people that are living in estate do? This is my first time moving into estate.. Somebody talk to me please....

I completely agree with you sir, something must be done. I have always bought fuel for less than 200naira for so many years and suddenly it increased to 2000. Let’s be clear, this looks like exploitation not pricing You do not wake up and multiply a customer’s bill by 10x
Ben Murray-Bruce@benmurraybruce

.@elonmusk, For months, I have paid ₦49,000 for my Starlink subscription in Nigeria. Suddenly, and without notice, without consent, and without any change to my plan, I am slammed with a ridiculous charge of ₦215,955. Let’s be clear: this looks like exploitation, not pricing. You do not wake up one morning and multiply a customer’s bill by over 4x with zero communication. That is not business, it is abuse of trust. Are Nigerian customers being taken for granted? Is this a deliberate strategy or a gross failure of your billing system? Either way, it is unacceptable. Reverse this charge immediately and explain yourselves publicly. Silence will only confirm the worst assumptions. cc: @fccpcnigeria @Starlink

“I’m not a social media type. The lady didn’t buy the book on social media, my number and address are on the book, she couldn’t get to me through any of those means, but she chose to go to social media to discredit my work and my book. She’s too small for me to explain to, she was not born when I started teaching, however, there's nothing wrong with my book story.” — Writer of the book reacts after a young mother raised concern about a story included in a textbook used by her son’s school.

Nigeria has had approvals and budget releases since independence that’s not achievement. At this point, even the bare minimum from some governors looks like progress cos others don’t even pretend to care. We need results, not press statements.

The question is simple: what has actually been DONE? Not approvals. Not announcements. Not “funds released.” DONE. Completed. Working. Impacting lives. In 3 years, what can people point to and say “this has improved my life”? People can’t afford food.celebrating airport upgrades?
SB 🇻🇦@Sifon_Bassey

I will indulge you, and I hope that by the time I am done, you will also show me what your governor has done as well. Bear with me, this will be a long thread: 1. Arise Resort x.com/sifon_bassey/s…

6. Personally, I use @mycashierlife Vault. Here are the actual rates depending on how long you lock: 90 days — 18% 180 days — 19% 270 days — 20% 360 days — 22% 540 days — 23.5% 730 days — 25% The longer you commit, the higher the rate. And the interest is paid UPFRONT — the moment you lock, it hits your account. Not after 30 days. That same day.

Our legal team in Lagos found him at Ikoyi Correctional Centre after over three years of wrongful imprisonment. Following his acquittal on all charges, we’re happy to share that we have now secured his release. This injustice began in 2023 after he refused to continue working without pay for his employer. After his resignation, his employer accused him of stealing inverter batteries allegedly valued at over ₦3 million, leading to his arrest and detention without investigation. It wasn’t until a routine prison decongestion visit last year that our legal team met him and took up his case. With his release, he becomes the sixth wrongfully detained inmate accused of stealing and conspiracy whose freedom we have secured this year alone. We will continue to speak against any form of arrest, detention, and prosecution based solely on suspicion, retaliatory allegations, or influenced by social status. May justice always prevail. #PrisonDecongestion #Nigeria #PROBONO

Someone from Namibia shred a video of power outage at a Nigerian international airport and in response, a Nigerian actually asked him: “Why do airports need 24/7 power?” And Nigerians were trying to beg him to stop embarrassing us with this question and he kept insisting that there is no reason that an international airport needs 24/7 power supply at all times. My goodness. Some of you are mad o. And no, this is not cruise at all. You are actually mad and you need to be institutionalised to save you from yourself and from the society. No need for 24/7 power in airport? Wow. Eyin tun ya werey gan o.

A preventable death should lead to policy: mandatory snake anti-venom as a minimum requirement for hospital accreditation. Instead, we cycle through outrage and forget until the next life is lost.

Why must we blame everything on the government? Don't you think this kind of snake can be spiritual and suspicious? Do you think everything is about hospital and medicine 💊? You're not the most vocalist online person here, bro. Rest!
Dr. Chinonso Egemba@aproko_doctor

If the fact that someone can die from a snake bite in 2026, because antivenoms were not available in hospitals close doesn't force you to demand better healthcare from your leaders. Every day our healthcare system is neglected, lives are lost.

Applying for visa is so humiliating mahn. It’s giving “white man please let me into your country, I promise to be of good behaviour and I’ll leave when I said I’ll leave. Here’s all my life’s worth and evidence that I have something doing. Pls just let me in”. So embarrassing.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, Instead of applying for 🇫🇷 France Visit Visa , go for 🇱🇹 Lithuania, smaller embassy - higher approval rate, less drama. Instead of 🇳🇱 Netherlands, try 🇱🇻 Latvia, quiet, efficient, and not overcrowded with applications. Instead of 🇧🇪 Belgium, go for 🇭🇺 Hungary, easier to get appointments, fair interview process. Instead of 🇩🇪 Germany, try 🇦🇹 Austria, they understand Nigerian applicants better now, system is straightforward but requires Patience. Instead of 🇪🇸 Spain, go for 🇨🇿 Czech Republic, clean process, low rejection rate, and still Schengen. Instead of 🇬🇷 Greece, try 🇮🇹 Italy, still fair if your documents make sense, and has multiple visa centers in Nigeria. Instead of 🇨🇭 Switzerland, go for 🇪🇪 Estonia, less crowd, same Schengen access. Instead of 🇸🇪 Sweden, try 🇸🇰 Slovakia, good option for visitors and students, smaller system equals faster decisions. Instead of 🇩🇰 Denmark, go for 🇭🇷 Croatia, now part of Schengen, new and less saturated. Instead of 🇳🇴 Norway, try 🇸🇮 Slovenia, beautiful country, low rejection rate, and very professional consular team. They’re all Schengen countries, so any one that gives you a visa automatically gives you access to the others. But if you keep applying to countries with high denial rates and get refused, it weakens your record and makes future applications harder. Visa success isn’t luck, it’s calculation. Apply smart. We can all win together ❤️. Best wishes!!!
