Opus 4.7 is in Claude Code today. It's more agentic, more precise, and a lot better at long-running work. It carries context across sessions and handles ambiguity much better.
Claude@claudeai

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. It handles long-running tasks with more rigor, follows instructions more precisely, and verifies its own outputs before reporting back. You can hand off your hardest work with less supervision.

@GregMolnar I'm jelly. 😁 Did that once. Snorkeling at lunchtime. It was the most productive time in my life (before AI)

Shengen is amazing. Traveling within is so relaxed. No border control, my phone and mobile internet just works, plugs are the same, etc.

@ThineAI I will never trust somebody who uses keyboard sounds. Even a character in an ad. It just screams "I only care about myself"

@GregMolnar Haha, oh that is fair. Well, compared to other cities, heck even small ones, Shenzhen is super quiet.

@Gerry I live on a quiet, remote island, so for me most other places are noisy.

@GregMolnar I mean it is sooo quiet. You don't realize how bad the problem is until visiting a place where it is mostly fixed. All I heard in Shenzhen was brake noise from the mopeds. I miss the silence

@adocomplete But wasn't accidentally disabling the 1 hour cache for some the whole cause of the token burn issue? #L56" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/anthropics/cla…

@Gerry @GordonLeete The trackpad is great indeed, but I am more of a keyboard user and have an external monitor+mouse setup, I rarely use the laptop on the go.

@GordonLeete @GregMolnar Gestures on macos are really nice and I love it's flawless multi touch support on a magic trackpad. But they are no replacement for window tiling. The os is awful compared to a good tiling setup. It's like trying to use Siri after trying Claude/ChatGPT

@GregMolnar Fair - I think trackpad gestures solve this problem for most uses. Speed a things can seem slow - but that’s usually a 3rd party software (or runaway daemon) issue. I mainly live in terminal, slack, and a browser. Happy coding!

@GregMolnar Do people actually like using tiling. I thought it was just for screenshots.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve become a daily user of Claude Code on desktop. It’s the best way to kick off and manage multiple CC sessions across local and cloud in one place. You can also see git status, pin active sessions, and drag and drop layout to view multiple sessions at the same time! Let us know what you think :)
Anthony Morris ツ@amorriscode

Today we're launching a rebuilt version of Claude Code on desktop. The app has been redesigned for the ground up to make it easier than ever to parallelize work with Claude. I haven't opened an IDE or terminal in weeks. Excited for you all to give it a shot!
