I hear so many people blaming the outrageous gas prices on Donald Trump, but here’s a fact for y’all to ponder. Oil just topped $100 per barrel. As of five minutes ago gas is selling for $1.90/litre in my neighborhood. The last time oil hit $100 per barrel was under Stephen Harper, yet gas prices topped out at $1.38 per litre back then. Yes, the Iran war is affecting gas prices, but there’s about 52¢/litre that is the direct result of taxes, environmental taxes, and taxes on those taxes.

@pamadkisson @Narykids There was someone in this thread who asked Grok if it was true and the answer was that the story was made up and was being spread on Twitter. Nevertheless, I have lots of vitriolic rants by Whoopi and the others.

ABC/Disney certainly has its hands full this morning. After the President and First Lady called for a boycott of the Jimmy Kimmel show, Whoopi Goldberg thought she'd toss "The View" into the fray with one of the most disgusting things she's ever said on television: "None of this would be necessary if one of these would-be assassins did their jobs the right way." The air in the studio was noticeably silent as the audience and the other hosts weighed the gravity of what she had just said. Sensing the disapproval, Goldberg said, "I guess I'm the only one. Okay, let's move on." Unfortunately, Disney can't just move on, as renewed boycotts and sponsor dropouts are inevitable. "Whoopi is more trouble than she's worth."

@Narykids @pamadkisson I despise fake stories like this. I got all worked up, then discussed it with my wife and now find out the story is a fraud. 😡

@pamadkisson Come on people. Thus did not happen. That's too egregious, even for Woopie. Quit fanning the flames. We're divided enough all ready. Pam, you should be ashamed for reposting this unsubstantiated innuendo.

Germany built one of the largest wind and solar fleets on Earth. It dismantled its nuclear power stations and retired its coal, with the promise that green energy would power its future. The country spent billions transitioning. Then winter arrived, and "Dunkelflaute" hit - the dark windless dead zone. Wind and solar fell to barely 5% of demand. The grid staggered. And Germany was forced to fire up old coal plants it said had closed forever, and import expensive nuclear from France. This is the physics politicians fail to mention, and a point many people still fail to grasp. When the wind dies and the sun sets, renewables disappear. And the only way the grid survives, the only reason countless millions don't freeze to death, is thanks to oil, coal, nuclear and gas.

Trump: “We don’t need Canadian oil.” Also Trump: just approved a pipeline that could move 1 MILLION barrels/day and boost imports by 12%. Canada already exports 1.64 BILLION barrels/year to the U.S. So which is it? They don’t need it… or they can’t run without it?

Excellent news! Donald Trump approved a pipeline that will take oil from Alberta, Canada to the US. It will increase Canada's exports to the US by 12%. It's all pretty much approved on the Canadian side as it will use some of the Keystone XL pipe. It's a joint venture between South Bow and Bridger Pipeline. No carbon capture nonsense, no one cares about carbon tax. Just a handshake, and let's get building.

This mother was involved in a hit and run. As the other vehicle takes off she follows him. He pulls in somewhere down the roadand she rolls down her window and confronts him. She tells him she has dash cameras. I understand what she was doing following him, I do. But how do you know what kind of person is driving that car? We know he’s a person who takes off at the least in an accident. Would you follow him with your child in the car? Wouldn’t you call 911 immediately as you are following?

As an Iranian in Iran, I need to point out that the economic situation in Iran is catastrophic right now. Most people still haven't received their Farvardin monthly salaries (March 21-April 20 in Iranian calendar). Businesses are seeing record-low sales — when no one has income, people only buy bare survival necessities. I can personally confirm this: I haven't been paid either. I've started selling whatever I can just to get by. Bank staff, nurses, teachers, pensioners — none have received their money. I have practically zero income. If it wasn't for the free Starlink for Iranians (thank you @elonmusk), I wouldn't even have internet right now. This is the brutal reality on the ground. Yet Islamic regime agents keep lying that "the enemy" (the West) is paying a heavier price. Complete nonsense. The Hormuz situation strained things globally a bit, but it's nothing compared to what Iranians are enduring. We were already collapsing economically before this — that's what sparked the protests and the massacre that followed. Now it's accelerating toward the breaking point. If the Basij and IRGC thugs also stop getting paid enough, they'll finally feel the heat too. Whatever comes next, we must finish the job and topple this cursed regime. Iran will be free. #IranMassacre#KingRezaPahlavi‌ForIran

🚨 MUST WATCH: Johnny Carson (a Democrat) opens the 1981 Oscars, a day after the assassination attempt on President Reagan, with genuine class and respect. The entire liberal Hollywood crowd erupts in applause. Today? Jimmy Kimmel jokes about Melania Trump becoming a widow.

Testimony from Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan - the man who was in the room with Yasser Arafat in January 2001, when he rejected the Clinton Parameters (accepted by Israel) for the establishment of a Palestinian state. “I wanted to cry. My heart burned over how the opportunity was lost once again…” For context: the Parameters were President Bill Clinton’s final and far-reaching proposal for peace. They included a Palestinian state in nearly all of the West Bank and Gaza (with land swaps), a capital in East Jerusalem, and other major concessions. Israel accepted the framework. Bandar had already secured broad Arab support. Arafat looked Bandar and the Egyptians in the eye and said he would accept… then lied to their faces and withdrew. Bandar had previously warned Clinton: “If Arafat rejects this, it will not be a mistake - it will be a crime.” After the collapse, Bandar said his “heart burned” over the lost opportunity “perhaps for the last time.” Arafat rejected peace and a Palestinian state - and chose terrorism and the Second Intifada instead. This is not ancient history; it reflects the same ideology of hatred that led to October 7 attacks.
