The goal was to build an alternative iOS App Store after I spent many nights fighting the App Store as head of mobile @MagicEden. I shipped a French encryption document generator as a lead up to the bigger goal of competing with Apple. Since Apple lost the lawsuit and there are alternatives to the 30% tax, I decided to pursue other ideas (had a a soft VC commitment if I had a lead) as I couldn't have built something better than simply launching on the App Store + setting up web payments. Thanks for everyone who tried Nova, it was awesome to see that a pain in my life lead to a product people paid for. I'm full time building the future of voice AI with @mitissaAI, locking in on the moonshot.

It's a common misunderstanding that you don't need to file. Simply making any HTTPS API call means you technically need to declare encryption to the French government. I've been through this too. Built @getNovaStore to unblock your app launch in France novastore.dev
