A friendly reminder: When you see other authors get tons of likes and requests, multiple offers of representation (on their first novel after barely querying!), and then a significant publishing deal in a matter of days, don't forget.... They're the outliers, not the norm, and we should celebrate them, but not compare ourselves to them!! Some of us have written multiple novels, have queried more than one project, and might feel as if we're clawing our way through each phase, perhaps questioning if our moment will ever come. It's hard. It's heartbreaking. It seriously sucks. But we can't give up! Persistence is necessary in publishing, and we're being forged in the fire.🔥✨
