If you're reliant on a third party (other than what's required for the XRPL to make forward progress) to access the XRP Ledger (such as wallet providers) then you're probably taking more risk than you have to. Learn how and install something like NodeJS, then interact directly with the ledger by writing and running simple JavaScript for sending payments, submitting other transactions etc directly from your own computer. Can you really claim to be 'your own bank' if you're relying on a wallet provider?

@uptownsaul Significantly, of all the involved systems one stands out as trending towards greater decentralisation, that system is the XRPl.

Same goes for David and Arthur and their design choices. That they were able to incorporate Fugger's RipplePay idea with the native asset revolution is, incredibly, only a nice add on to the primary mission.

Important note: Satoshi's breakthrough in 2008 was the creation of neutral digital money. The token. BTC. The actual token. All his interesting design choices are in service of creating the neutral token. After all, that's the money.
