Hey Ranjith - thanks for the interest! At a high level, we're more than an Excel plugin to help you model, even though that's a core use case. We're building Compound as a truly autonomous AI finance analyst to help you at each step of your workflow (parse, understand/model, present). Some more detail: - We've purpose built Compound to model the way a human would. We don't use Python as an intermediary, and therefore by default do all calcs with formulas you can trace and audit. - We have dedicated integrations into sources like EDGAR (more coming soon). Hard coded numbers from these sources will have citations with span-level references to the source document. - We handle a broader scale of data than other players - you can upload hundreds of files into Compound and have the analyst work over it (data rooms are a common use case for us). - Composable Artifacts - in a workspace, you can save any Excel model (or artifact) back to that workspace to work over it in another chat.
