#MaruOS
@dreams_canvas Awesome, so glad you got it to work! And really appreciate your kind words and support. Hearing how much our users enjoy Maru makes all the hard work worth it.
@getmaru Hey, thanks for the reply! Actually, I solved the issue a few days back haha. When I streamed the maru desktop directly from Google Home app, I was able to use the desktop mode. Thanks anyway. And also, really admire your team's remarkable work to create such a great OS!
@getmaru I have a question. I installed Maru OS on Nexus 5x but has been struggling to stream the desktop screen to my external monitor. I tried the 1st generation Chromecast and other Miracast devices, but none of them worked. Can you give me some advice? Thanks.
@IngwiePhoenix Thanks for checking us out! It should be possible with some decent effort for other ROMs based on LineageOS. We are constantly reducing the surface area of our modifications but there are lots of random pieces strewn about still to get everything to work.
@getmaru Just found out about your awesome project whilst browsing for a DEX alternative for LineageOS. How feasable would it be to port what Maru does to other ROMs? Thanks!
@fire Pixel 3a / Pixel 3a XL are running on 0.7 right now! As soon as we have access to a Pixel 3 / Pixel 3 XL device we should be able to add support.
@__Oni__ Yup, we are working on getting Maru 0.7 ready. Glad to hear Maru is running well on your N5; it's one of our favorite devices but it's also getting harder and harder to support on new versions of Android!
@TGDthegamerdog Yep, we are still active (especially our developer forum for porting). Our velocity has slowed on official releases though since I transitioned from full-time to part-time on Maru in 2017. There's a blog post with more details if you're interested: maruos.com/blog/2017/a-ye…
