One year ago, I developed a simple Digital Menu app upon client request. My approach was very minimalist. My clients use a Google Sheet framework to manage the menu. There's no dashboard just a sheet. This week, I informed all the clients that I will stop the service because I don't have enough time to grow it. To my surprise, they refused. I found out they use it on a daily basis, and most of them have gotten rid of papers. I was surprised because: 1. I received zero support calls in 12 months. 2. I wasn’t tracking usage/engagement. They asked me to charge an annual fee (90$) to keep the server running. I agreed, but I told them no support will be provided. They said it's okay; it doesn’t need it. 😐 Current customers appreciate: 1- Easy to update 2- Multi language support 3- Beautiful user interface 4- No learning curve Sometimes, you don’t have to build a complex architecture to fix a pain. Just fix it. As a side hassle, I'm seriously considering giving more time to @getmenyo, even though the market is crowded, but the value proposition and outcomes are proven. #digitalmenu #qrmenu #DigitalTransformation
