Thank you to @Arnold_Ventures and @othram for hosting the “DNA Policy as a Public Safety Solution” panel discussion at the start of Police Week. With voices from the Department of Justice, active law enforcement officers, and stakeholders, the discussion focused on the development and implementation of new DNA technologies and how our justice system can support public and private labs to assist law enforcement in their investigations. I’m excited to participate in this discussion today as part of Police Week in Washington, DC, for @Arnold_Ventures alongside the @TheJusticeDept and @othram. Forensic DNA is a proven tool to improve the swiftness and certainty in crime solving and bringing justice to victims and survivors. We can still do more to improve collection & analysis, including evaluating new innovative use and technology.
