Siena AD John D'Argenio confirms by text the Saints are in talks with Syracuse to play an exhibition game at MVP Arena in mid-October. The 2026 MAAC banner ceremony would take place at that game with Gerry McNamara, Gavin Doty, Francis Folefac and Tasman Goodrick on hand.

In this story, Syracuse's associate AD of director of men's basketball and operations says the Orange could come to Albany to play Siena in an exhibition. Low attendance for home exhibitions makes it more sound financially to play them on the road, the Syracuse official said.

Just because Cuse isn’t getting the most expensive players from P5 programs doesn’t mean the kids they’re getting stink. That 3rd place MAAC team just played Duke better than Cuse has in the last 8 years.

I don’t care how bias or diehard of a fan you are, if you hold any level of nonbias analysis you can see this is a bubble team at the very peak of their ability

We’ve got M3 that can score but apparently not much else, Doty who “gives effort”, Dual who struggles offensively, Siby who struggles offensively, Tasman who has bad knees, Sadiq and Kiyan. What about this says NCAA Tournament?

The MAC is a low tier mid major conf, and Siena is a low tier program in that conf
It’s not like he’s coming from an FAU, Dayton, USF, etc

I also think his record at Siena would not face the same scrutiny it did if it was at Quinnipiac where the main focus is hockey. So the finish top half of the league every year then bow out early in MAAC tournament results would be Ok.

Despite certain people thinking I'm petty and hate the guy because I had the nerve to criticize him at Siena, I actually think it'd be a great fit for Quinnipiac to hire Carm as lead assistant and coach in waiting for when Pecora retires in a few years.

@AllTheFetty679 @cuse365 Respectfully, I disagree. Besides highlights did you watch much Siena this season. Every MAAC team has at least 1 player that would be an above average role player at the ACC level. Some players could even be starters and possible all-conference players. See Walter Clayton, Jr.

@gfieldallstar @cuse365 maac has good players don’t get me wrong but that’s a big jump, doesn’t usually work out, majority of them are good A10 players but that’s the ceiling, which there’s nothing wrong with. That includes Doty, he will be an average role player at cuse at best if he’s more they’re bad

@gfieldallstar @Justinrgagnon29 Agree and honestly you have to wonder if Goodrick is looking for a reduced role on a better team. At Siena he would be asked to play 30+ minutes a game he might not be able to handle that kind of wear and tear now.

@MaacTheft @BryantHoopsStan I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again - the schools should run a contest for either their art students or local high schools to create the best shirt design. Siena then brings the class or local school to the game to honor the winner and sells the shirts to the fans.
