Yes, we do overvalue marriage. According to the Bible marriage is not for everyone. So much so that Paul expects most to stay single and dedicate their lives to Christ. However, our culture is not living for Christ, they are just vane and selfish and want to use their money to live large.

You’re still not getting it: women WANT babies VERY MUCH. But there is NOTHING women fear MORE than having a kid with the wrong guy. Bullying me about running out of time changes nothing bc I DO WANT kids, but there is NOTHING I want less than having them with the wrong person

@celestialbe1ng There's good science to back up your fears. If a parent has 3 or more antisocial traits, those get passed down genetically to children. And if the kids live with that parent, their likelihood of conduct disorders is much higher. lifesavingdivorce.com/jaffee/

@KevinNe77857066 @creation247 It depends, right? Where there is a pattern of abuse, deception, and substance abuse, marriage counseling cannot miraculously change a person. It's on that one person to fix his/her own marriage-endangering sin.
