There must be something I'm missing here because this looks too clean. That looks to me like a helicopter shot tracking a moving truck with Patrick Swayze, or a very convincing lookalike, hanging off of the side of it.

Hot Take: James Gunn’s “Man of Tomorrow” is already looking like another swing and a miss for Superman. David Corenswet seems like a decent enough guy, but this casting and those costumes? Come on, man. This isn’t the Man of Steel we grew up with. Christopher Reeve gave us hope, strength, and pure heroism in a suit that actually looked iconic. Henry Cavill brought that modern power with texture and presence. This new version just feels… off. The suit looks like cheap rubber/spandex that wrinkles like it was pulled out of the dryer. No real muscle definition, baggy in spots, and that “talcum powder to get into it” story from Corenswet tells you everything — it’s uncomfortable and doesn’t pop on screen. Where are the classic trunks vibe done right? Where’s the commanding presence? It screams “quirky Gunn comedy” instead of the inspiring symbol Earth needs. And the supporting cast choices… Rachel Brosnahan as Lois feels miscast (too modern snarky, not the strong reporter from the comics), Nicholas Hoult as Lex could work but I’m not sold yet. We needed someone who embodies Superman, not another reboot trying to be “funny and different.” Hollywood keeps ruining these legends. Bring back the reverence for the source material.
