Gianni Infantino has said FIFA will examine expanding the World Cup by a further 16 nations to a 64-team tournament ahead of its next edition in 2030. The 2030 tournament will be spread across six nations and three continents: Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay are scheduled to host one match apiece at the start of the competition, with the remaining games split between Morocco, Portugal and Spain. If the move ultimately falls through, the Nerazzurri will be forced back into the market to find a new right wing-back after the departure of Denzel Dumfries. Nahuel Molina emerges as an option According to Sport Mediaset, among the many names being considered by Inter’s management is Nahuel Molina, a player who could offer an immediate, experienced solution. The Atlético Madrid wing-back already knows Italian football well from his time at Udinese, where his impressive performances earned him a move to Spain. Unlike some of Inter’s younger targets, Molina would bring reliability, international experience, and the ability to contribute effectively in both attack and defense. One factor that could help negotiations is his contract situation. Molina’s current deal runs until 2027, and Inter could look to take advantage of the market circumstances to reach an agreement with Atlético Madrid.
