yunjin explained how she came up with the idea of “liminal space” which was inspired by moving through different places on tour & the feeling of heading to the unknown. 🐶: i actually came up with the idea for liminal space too. the company was already thinking about an outro, and for some reason, since we always do an intro, i really wanted to do an outro this time. i was constantly worrying about what the theme should be, but while we were touring, i guess we got a lot of inspiration and great energy. as expected of fearnot, we really need to do concerts and see fearnot up close. i'm so excited and honestly, i miss them so much even right now. so while doing the tour, we don't stay in just one city, we keep moving continuously. and this term "liminal space" means a space that exists between place a and place b. you keep moving, you're constantly on the go and even if you don't know where you're headed, you're going anyway. i thought it was a word that captured that kind of subtle, mysterious feeling. for example, a hallway or what else is there? an airport, an elevator, inside a car, inside an airplane. those are the kinds of spaces and we spent a lot of time in places like that. that was true physically, but philosophically, it also felt like a metaphor. right now at our current stage, le sserafim has finished the two trilogies, and "spaghetti" is over too, so it feels like we are moving somewhere else, but we don't know where that is. yet, moving isn't scary. during the tour, i really felt that the question of "where are we headed?" no longer comes to us as fear or rejection, but as anticipation. what kind of fearnot will be waiting for us in the next city? what will the concert be like? what's waiting for us when this tour ends? what will we be doing in the future? these kinds of curiosities were accepted very positively. so when that concept popped into my head, i threw it out there and the company also viewed it very positively. that's how the conversation inside liminal space actually came from a conversation we had while moving in the car. it's mysterious, isn't it? we were actually driving in a car, heading somewhere, but it would be good to think about it a bit differently. we don't know where we are going, but for some reason, we are looking forward to it. in the future, we will be doing well. it's an outro that contains this kind of small certainty, which is very touching and brings tears to your eyes. since it's "pureflow pt.1" which signifies a smooth flow, i threw out the idea with a picture in mind of it connecting to the next part like this, though i don't know how that will turn out.

The group LE SSERAFIM which is an anagram of I'M FEARLESS making the album PUREFLOW which is an anagram of POWERFUL but also being them accepting that they have fears but facing them as their most personal work yet just makes so much fucking sense this is ART about Humanity

Yunjin talked about the deeps talks she had with Sakura recently: “A couple of days ago, I met up with Kkura unnie. I went to her and we talked about stuff. About life. About the team. About our future. About, you know, whatever. Just our anxieties and stuff. I told her that sometimes I truly do feel like things are forever, and nothing will change. And that scares me sometimes because sometimes I feel like the anxiety that I feel or the worries that I have, they’re just never going to leave me. And it’s going to be like this forever. But she said something that really calmed me down. She was like just look at the lyrics of BOOMPALA. We are the sky, and the emotions that we feel, that pass through us, are simply passing through us like the weather. Some days you’re gonna be super anxious. Some days, you’re gonna be cloud free. Your sky is gonna be sunny and even that’s not forever. When it’s good, something bad is going to come. And when something’s bad, something good is going to come, and that really did bring a lot of peace of mind. And we talked about how we want our team to have longevity, and everything that we do, we do it with integrity and intent. And authenticity and personality.

PUREFLOW Pt. 1 genuinely means so much to LE SSERAFIM and to me because of which I'm so excited to keep experiencing this eleven part story until forever and support these beautiful souls in whatever their future holds and whatever they decide to pursue together most importantly because this group puts out their stories out into the world
