people have a hard time understanding murads thesis because he’s playing chess at a level that requires you to think 100 moves ahead.
i don’t think you understand how much thought went into his analysis & choosing of coins because to be frank most people aren’t capable of such abstraction of thought.
to categorize crypto cults as neo-religions was to dive deep into the fabric of what ideas are & how they’re propagated.
one may argue that religion is moot, fake, & has no purpose. while devout believers will argue the opposite.
if you were to put a market capitalization on these ideas that came out of soil like you & I, they’d likely dwarf the market capitalization of near every company in existence.
but *fundamentalists* or *atheists* will tell you they have no value.
it doesn’t matter what these people demarcate as value because markets, specifically crypto markets, are a democratized global consensus machine for belief. & these *fundamentalists* or *atheists* are only a limited segment of the market.
yes, there are certain segments of the market that believe harder when there’s some sort of fundamental value.
but what’s the value of friendship? what’s the value of religion? what’s the value of mental health?
you can’t attach a number to any of these things because quite frankly they’re a priceless part of human experience, we cannot live without. so in order for these *fundamentalists* or *atheists* to remain congruent in their analysis, they would need to claim all of these things have zero value.
and we know that’s not true. in-fact they are some of the most valuable things in existence.
crypto allows us to tokenize ideas, & build a consensus reality as a vector for what we demarcate as value. if there’s enough belief resonance then value will be accrued irregardless of what non-believers in the peanut gallery crack with their own form of religious zeal.
