@Typerighting It's especially annoying as it would mean the night elves would for once have something in common with the other kind of elves and give the unified elven army a hint of a shared identity. As is, they feel very out of place in a plot that already feels out of place.

@Typerighting I'm not saying Amirdrassil is exactly the same situation, just that every world tree except Nordrassil is very clearly part of the proud elven tradition of never learning restraint or whatever the Maiev line was, and that was totally glossed over in the Bel'Ameth quests.

And the core impetus for that divide... was none other than Anasterian. The role of Anasterian in the narrative of the blood elves has always been an isolationist, arrogant king who ignored threats until they were at his doorstep, and it's baffling to see him framed otherwise.

@TheRailery @Typerighting The potentially world-ending magic source I meant wasn't even the Well of Eternity, it was the tree that almost burned up the planet like 4 years ago. Not to be confused with the three world trees that got corrupted by the nightmare. Doesn't seem like they've learned much tbh.

Choosing to headcanon that the "winged" women all around Silvermoon is actually Dath'remar's wife and thus Queen Mother of Quel'thalas, and her name was Elu'serai (Silver Moon) and was a priestess who chose her man over Tyrande's orders, but is why it's called Silvermoon :)
